Mercer County/Lincoln County predictions

Featured Replies

Mercer travels to Lincoln County. I like the Titans in this one.

I like Mercer here, Lincoln is still adjusting to new system:

Mercer-28

Lincoin-13

Mercer Co. wins this one.

Wow, how Lincoln County has fallen so fast.

I'm not sure Lincoln really has a new system. I don't think Lincoln has fallen. I just think, as LCPATS said, injuries are determining the wins and losses for this Patriots team.

Should be some good action, But Mercer Co. should come out on top. M-31 LC-17

Do any of these kids come back this year from the injuries and who are they?

Mercer by 3 or 4 TDs. IMO, Lincoln Co. is down in talent, kids learning new coach, new system... Mercer is a better team this year than last. It definitely won't be comparable to what we saw last year.

I am going with Mercer by 3 TD's

Mercer Co. 28-7.

Mercer is to dynamic for Lincoln. Mercer can run or pass and has speed that Lincoln cant match. Unless Trey Edwards has a break through game and the defense gets some big stops, im taking Mercer 35-14

Mercer County head coach, Marty Jaggers, was the head coach at Lincoln County from 1991-1996, where he compiled an overall record of 49 wins and 27 losses (64.4%). He took the Patriots to the 1993 AAA Finals and coached 1993 Mr. Football Jeremy Simpson.

Since taking over at Mercer County prior to the 2005 season, Jaggers has posted a 29-8 (78.3%) record, including a 15-0 AA State championship season in 2006.

Three starting lineman, that would probably go both ways. The QB has been knocked out of both games, starting LB/TE is out etc.

When you have a slim roster, and three of your top lineman are out, nothing else is going to look good or be good. Now, that being said, it is still an excuse. Part of football is overcoming injuries, however when you are only dressing 30-35 kids, missing 3 to 5 of top players is hard to evercome. I think two of the three lineman should be back at some point, hopefully very soon. They will make a HUGE difference.
