That's funny, isn't that the exact score everybody predicted for last years 1st HHS/Cov-Cath game. I highly doubt this years team is capable of scoring that many points anyway. If they can the other team is really bad!!!!! HHS 35-13

I see HHS winning this game but not by a blow out. Maybe by 21. Why would you say run the score up? When has that ever happened? Please tell me/us you are not one of those that thinks when HHS points a lot of points on the board and the JV's are doing the same as the varsity that that is running up the score! Cmon you're better than that.

 

I never said any of that at all! Did you read my quote? I am saying that if the opportunity comes to put in the 2's and 3's, I know if will be done. I am not nor have I ever accused HHS of running up the score. There is only one team I would like to do that do, and I will keep my personal feelings to myself.

Dale is not that kind of coach. We don't need any points for any ranking. All Dale is looking for is number 18. All that requires is a win. It doesn't matter by how many. A win by 1 and a win by 100 are the exact same in the W column! You don't get anything more for a huge lopsided victory except an opponent who won't want to schedule you anymore.

Ok, it looks as if everyone already has this game put in the books. Now if the 2nd and 3rd groups are going to play in the 2nd half who plays in the reserve game 14 hours later the next day? To me if you are looking for playing time it would be best to play JV.

Those kids that get to play in the 2nd half are so jazzed up about getting in on a varsity game, they'll just be that more pumped to play the next day. Never been a problem before. I don't see why it's an issue now. Frankly, who ever heard of resting JV players for a game the next day and keeping the starters in to risk injury??? Just wondering.

Was I hiding it? It's actually more annoyance than paranoia...

I have been thinking since the Colerain game. You know.....Holmes is probably the one team in NKY or all of KY for that matter that could adopt the same offense that Colerain has and probably execute it pretty well. They have the numbers, size, and the speed for sure. With the right coaching, they could run that triple option. I just hope they don't get wise to it and try it. That would be scarey. I know that whatever offense that Steven is running will be well oiled and firing on all cylinders. He is really a great coach and an even better person. It's almost a shame when we have to play them. You wish him well, but you don't want them to beat you. Let's just hope that both teams can come out of this game injury free. The one positive thing that has come from these injuries is the emergence of some other kids getting the opportunity to step up and do a great job.

Holmes has about 10 less on the roster as the Birds. I don't see the individual SIZE of Colerain either. Back in the day; Holmes ran a triple option offense, it wasn't real effective for the Dogs. The Dogs no doubt have speed, but the Birds defense is very daunting.

I think so too. I am very disheartened to hear how low their numbers are for the football program. Since middle school I remember playing them and they always paraded out like 80 kids. It's intimidating! Good Luck Coach Lickert!

I will say that Holmes has a chance to hang with Highlands for the first half. I think that thier athleticism as well as the determination and work ethic they have learned from Coach Lickert will help keep them in the game. However, the fact that Highlands just has more numbers and more talented reserves, Ill say that Highlands comes out with the win- 2 to 3 TDs.

It doesn't matter how many key players for Highlands are banged up. Look for the Bulldogs to get brought back down to earth on this one.
