No! But they are not giving him the credit he deserves and RA09 is taking a stand for him. As an ex coach it's been my understanding that scoring is a very very big part of the game. The team who has the most points at the end wins. Anyway Ferguson is not just a scorer as everyone projects him to be. I have followed his career( as I have several other's around the state)

and according to news, internet reportings, etc he also averaged 2steals,

3asst, and 6 rebounds per game. This thread is about wings and it is a wings

job to score and noone in the state up to this point does that as well as Ferguson has during his high school games. Throw in his rebounds, assist, and steals, and you have a complete

player with more heart and grit than most of those mentioned over him.

 

:lol: Taking a stand? This isn't the civil rights movement. Its just me giving my opinion about the best wings in the state. I am not a college coach or someone whos opinion is that important. I am just giving telling you guys what I think based on what I have saw. When I say wings I basically mean perimeter players on the wings who don't play point guard. I think the 10 I named are better than Ferguson. A lot of people disagree with me. Why don't some of you guys criticizing my picks make your own list of the top wings?

RA09 you might as well give it up. Ferguson and the Faulkner twins will never get the credit they deserve because they are at a very small school. You will not get through to anyone. Those kids have done enough in the last few years in high school and summer and everyone has sat by and watched them do nothing but win, and still do not give them a just due. Might as well let it rest.

 

If you think its easier to shine brighter in the cities where the 7th and 11th regions are then you are mistaken. There's a ton of dynamic guards and wings in these regions that are not nearly heralded as some out in the state. Games at Ballard, Eastern, Manual, Male, and Jtown draw huge crowds and the intensity in these games is off the chart. You play with heart or you lose. And its the same way in the 11th.

 

Elliott County is an outstanding and talented basketball team and I think even the city fans can recognize that. Just don't discount a player that averages 12 points a game with a schedule that has 12 to 15 top 20 teams on it.

I disagree. I haven't seen anyone not give any of the Elliott players credit for being terrific players. Frankly, I believe it's just the opposite. When someone states that they think someone is better, however, you have the entire Sandy Hook faithful up in arms that you disrespected their boys. Once again, I have no problem saying that Ferguson is an outstanding player and he's no doubt a terrific scorer. I do think he has shortcomings that some others don't have. You'd think that they were lottery picks if you read the Elliott posters.

I disagree. I think what makes the "Sandy Hook faithful" as you call get up in arms is the way the poster go about giving Elliott County credit. This thread is a good example. The debate that Ferguson was the best scorer in the state. Someone gave his average from this summer. Then another poster came and said he dosent put much stock into AAU defense. Fair enough. Some then they put his high school averages. Then someone was downgrading his high school schedule. Things such as these is what get Elliott County fans up in arms. Everytime a "Sandy Hook faithful" tries to back up his reasoning someone has to a puts an astrict by their accomplishments.

Thats exactly what RA09 and others are doing to, and evidently you don't like what they are thinking either because you just keep coming back and

trying to refute what they are saying also. Thats kinda like the pot calling the kettle black.:lol:

Ferg is a Top 3 wing in the State no doubt about. He has proven it for 3 years now. He does it in the Summer he does it in the Winter it doesnt matter what season it is. :ylsuper:

I believe Pittman, Riley, Johnson, and Jenkins played on the same squad in the UK Elite Camp. That was fun to see. Interesting list.

 

 

What was there Record?

Ferguson is 1 of the Best Guards in the State bar none. He can get it done vs Big guys or small guys it doesnt matter. Some will downgrade another kid to make another in the Same grade look better. Everybody knows who I am talking about.
