That's what the Sunni awakening was about, using the surge troops to enable the Sunni in the Western Province to help fight their enemies in the civil war as well as insergents. Iraq is segerated in 3 parts of the country now on their own accord except for Bagdad where there is a tribal mix due to the central government and support systems.No, Iraq is not partitioned as Biden advocated the US doing. Iraq has a strong central government, which is nothing like what Biden advocated imposing upon the Iraqi people. There is no credit to be taken for the success in Iraq by either Biden or Obama. You cannot condemn a war when things are going badly and then claim credit for its success when things go well. The American public has a short attention span but not that short.

Hopefully, Palin will also ridicule Biden's Cold War blunders at some point. While Biden was impeding efforts to win the Cold War, Reagan and Bush I were winning it. Biden can drop names of foreign leaders with the best of them but on the most important issues of our time, Biden has been on the wrong side.

" If they would have listened to Obama there would be no need for a surge because we would not have invaided Iraq, and 4,500 soliders would not have died.
