How do you know that I am not? I will tell you this, you would be very surprised as to who listens to what I think. I do not claim to know it all. I do know basketball at the college level. Ask someone who will be truthful with you and see what the overall consensus is and see how far I am off.

You simply did not respond to my last questions. How many sweet sixteens has Brown, Morrow, Pittman, Salyers been to? Of the the follow, Brown, Pittman, Salyers, Morrow, Mitchell, Hammond, which has already received a scholarship offer of the University of Louisville? We're not talking about the OVC, Summit, or any other Mid-major conference.

I agree with Big Impact you are a legend in your own mind, who lives in a dreamworld that really does not know squat about girls basketball. I will choose to wait and see where all these girls play at the next level. The only ones who have committed so far is Salyers to a D1 school in Morehead State and Mitchell to IUPUI.

As to why the Hammond family had wanted her to go to LCA, I don't know. You need to ask them that.

 

If you've been following all the comments, you'll also know that I have said on more than one that the Brown girl and Salyers were better post players, because they are bigger and stronger at this point. I believe the Salyer girl is a senior, which makes her 17 or 18 years of age and the Brown girl is a junior, about the same age. You are aware that the Hammond girl just turned 15 and by the time she will be their age who knows how she will stack up physically. I've had three children, 2 girls and know that between sophomore and senior year girls really mature and get much stronger. I believe Hammond will ONLY be a sophomore this year.

 

I have said, more than once, that she will probably play at 6'2" a small forward in college. In the game I saw her play this summer in Louisville she look quite comfortable in that role, made 3 or 4 threes and I believe had 18 or 20 points. She also played with a 14 & Under group at that tournament with the Pittman girl and there was no comparison as to who was the better player

Just one last, quick, comment. Dreamland, you say that you know the game on the college level. And that there are lots of people who listen to your expertise. I guess, at least for the Hammond girl, it's a good thing that Coach Waltz has been listening.

 

Don't you think it's a good thing for the 12th region to have one of it's better players to have been offered a scholarship from what has been and looks to continue one of the top 15 programs in the nation.

 

It's the kind of thing that can only help others like Brown, Salyers, Morrow, Pittman and others.

Big Impact you are the one that came on here to set the record straight about the move to LCA, so I figured you could shed some light on that situation. I had already heard that there were problems there and that bigimpact came from someone who would know. So dont even question me on this one. Thats why you keep referring to how Rock will do, by saying they have to have chemistry. Your own players talk to others who talk to others. Its common fact there is friction from the players to the coaching staff with players and parents.

 

As for who has been to the state tourney and who has been offered by Louisville? Hammond is the only one of those players that has been to the sweet 16. As for her being offered by Louisville, I think that you might need to check with someone on this as I dont know if this is true or not as you are the only one that is reporting this.

 

As for the others, you should not put them down. Salyers and Brown are both good players. Very good. I think Saylers is the only one that has actually going to sign on the dotted line. Saylers as I have stated is going to play the 4 at the next level or I think thats where she is going to play( oldballcoach I am sure will correct me if thats wrong) and she is physically able to match up.

 

Brown is getting alot of looks also. Western is looking very strong. Not offered yet, or so I have been told.

 

As for her scoring 18-20 at the tourney in Louisville this summer, she may have, but it was not one the several games I saw her play in. Maybe 18-20 combined for the tourney.

 

Again I am not saying she is not a great kid. Im sure she is and she is gonna be a great player. She just needs to hire you as her agent and PR person. You still cannot take constructive criticism. One things for sure, it wont be long till we see, right guys?

Dont get me wrong I agree Waters was/is a great talent that played on a lot of bad teams. If she would have had more talent around here she may have been able to develop more parts of her game. Hammond in my opinion will be a more rounded player with perimeter skills.

I have heard from very reliable sources that Brittany Morrow has been ruled ineligible to play at Wayne County, twice by the KHSAA, and it is being appealed a third time. Morrow has had some tough seasons due to injuries, severe shin-splints as a freshman and the ACL tear her sophomore season. Shes 6' 2'' and has a great shot, inside and outside the arc. She does lack maturity, tho. If an opponent plays strong defense against her she is very easy to intimidate, especially, when it comes to a turn around shot under the goal.

Morrow was ruled elgible by the KHSAA initially. McCreary then contested. Now its going to appeal on the 6th.

 

I take it that you are a McCreary Central fan. Whats up with all the players not playing over there?

Waters and Salyers are two different types of players. Waters also never had any help around her, other than Tucker. Salyers has had good players around her. Salyers is the more traditional post. Both are great players in their own right.

Thanks for the correction Jesse James. I do like to watch some of the MCHS players. I also like Wayne, Whitley Co., South Laurel, and many others. From my observation of last season, the new head coach had a lot of trouble uniting the team and making quick decisions according to what was happening on the floor. I know several players were injured during the season. Morgan had a severe elbow injury, Chelsea Smith had problems with rotater cup and shoulder, I think the Vanover girl had some sort of medical problems, but I'm not sure, and Morrows ACL tear. Rumors about who is playing. I've heard Tanisha Vanover, who was there leading scorer,( I think), was undecided. Adkins who has very bad ankels is not playing. Kayla Morgan, who is playing volleyball right now, is also undecided. As for the others I don't know.
