That's correct but the committee goes with the recomendation 99.9% of the time and that is the recomendation to the committee!

Also there is talk that McCreary may not sign the contracts with Wayne to play this season to prove a point( although I sure dont understand that). If that happens will McCreary not play Wayne in post season play if they meet, or will the money affect that decision? Im betting on the money winning over. I guess we will see how the ethics plays out on this one wont we?

What a family says and the facts are, well lets say, a little different. Bottom line there are several rescent defections from McCreary to Wayne and i just think the McCreary Co end of it is getting tired of all the one-sided transferes (I refrained from using any other term). This has nothing to do with the kid and everything to do with Wayne Co. and their athletic Dept. I can tell you their Wrestling team isn't invited to MC anymore and MC has no desire to go there for the same reason. You might be from WC and I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feeling (I have some good friends in Wayne Co.) but 2 + 2 always = 4 and it dosen't take a rocket scientist to do the math!

Bronco, I am as McCreary as they come. I've been in or around the school system for the last 14 years and know how things work there.

 

I have it on good authority that if Waters doesn't succeed this season, it will be his last.

 

You can say whatever you want to about Gay not leaving (and you know good and well he thought about it, which is exactly what I said - nothing about being fired). You can also bet that even though the mens basketball team has had good succeed, the board is slowly replacing old with new and they aren't so fond of Jones.

 

Waters yelling at the players is fine with me. You haven't the slightest clue what other things are going on behind the scenes, or you would understand. Let's just say I have a "connection" inside that program and some of the things Waters says about the players parents (or lack thereof) will have him out of a job in an instant. This has already went through the super last season and if things persist, you can bet he won't see the court again.

Just because your daughter plays dosen't give you an inside track to what is going on. It is because of these things that Coach Waters have closed his practices this year. I wish everyone would leave him alone and support him and the players would stop being babies and start being athletes this program would be at the top of the 12th in no time!:ylsuper:

I don't even have a daughter, Bronco. You need to start getting your facts straight. There are things I would say in this thread about you, but it would get me removed.

 

If Waters was such a good coach, then he would have had success and all the success that you say he has had (turning teams around to win).

 

Waters is a bad coach and clueless in preparing a team or plays.

 

And with Waters at the head coach, there is a 0% chance it would be at the top of the 12th Region anytime. Not only would that not happen, it wouldn't even be top three in the district. Wayne, Southwestern, and Monticello all have better coaches.

I have to agree with SSF. I feel bad for this team. Their success at this level will be sadly limited due to the fact that they do not have a strong leader.

 

I saw some of these girls play at the middle school level, and they had tremendous success. A few even contributed at the high school, under coach Ross, and were great benefits to the team. Its a shame that they're surrounded by such disfunction, now.

 

Its to bad they didn't keep Eddie Bartley, I'm sure he had what they needed to turn things around for this team. Just look at the past history for the jv team compared to last year, when he coached them. I feel he could've made a hugh difference if he had the head coaching position.

Agreed. Morrow, Morgan, and mostly Vanover, were very successful in the time that they played under Ross.

 

And agreeing with backwoods, Bartley led the JV team to new heights and should be considered the only reason for the success, coaching wise.
