Palin tied both the Republican's energy plan and Obama's proposed tax increases to their effect on the state of the economy. It may not be what you were looking for, but to say that Palin did not talk about the economy is wrong.

Oh come on...that is a valid measure of "how bad"? Surely you don't acually believe that. Maybe the DNC did a better job of making sure that protesters didn't get in.

This sort of thing happens all the time with the left, the protesters on that side always act up and get in trouble.

Why would she give specifics of McCain's policies? Her job was to introduce herself. Did Biden give specifics? Doubt it. Was it an issue with his speech on here? Doubt it.

I realize why the comments were made ... I still think such rhetoric was mocking and condescending and is beneath her.

Palin was critizied by the Obama campaign for "Being the mayor of a town with 9000 people". I think her comments were justified and necessary. Now if she keeps making them then I will have to agree with you. But I think she needed to return fire to the Obama camp and she did that.

Obama personally compared running a campaign to Palin's job as mayor. He compared the number of employees of Wasilla to his campaign staff and bragged about the campaign's budget. A PR guy may have repeated Obama's attempt to portray Palin as a small town mayor instead of as a governor, but you are mistaken if you do not believe that Obama took the lead on belittling her success.

And you also know that Phil Gramm wasn't repeating Sen. Mcain when he made his that the nation (which I assume includes small towns in Alaska) has become a nation of whiners?
