That was probably 2 years ago to watch the Yankees and 3 years ago to watch the Rangers. I remember watching Juan Gonzalez with the Rangers and he was getting heckled like no other. Hideki Matsui also took his fair share of fan abuse.

September 4, 200818 yr This isn't hard to figure out. I'm a lifelong Reds fan. If I move to Miami I'm going to be a Reds fan. I'm not going to watch the Marlins play anybody but the Reds. How many Florida residents grew up cheering for the Marlins or Rays? How many of them have grown up and already had favorite teams before Florida got baseball or before they moved to Miami? How many residents of Miami are originally from other countries and could care less about MLB?
September 4, 200818 yr How much money would they lose if they had under 1000 fans for their last 10 or so home games? I am sure they lose some on gameday stuff(beer, food, etc.), but a lot of tickets are sold as season ticket and other packages.
September 4, 200818 yr I think they should've done something really special for all 600 fans. Perhaps give them some autographed memorabilia or a tour of the clubhouse.

September 4, 200818 yr When you watch a game that involves the Marlins you can actually hear conversations from the crowd on your TV telecast. When I watch them play the Cardinals it cracks me up to hear that.
