Does it every rain when it poors?

Featured Replies

So I've had a good stretch, atleast that's what I'm trying to think of it as. Basically alot of stress, probably not more than what alot of people deal with but none the less. Very stressful and at times rather disheartening.

Does anyone else ever stop to just enjoy the rain(chaos) when it's pooring(everything is going wrong). I have something that could be one heck of a story or chapter in my life. It's still unfolding, and it's come at almost the most inopportune time. And it hasn't even come easily, ha not even close. Yet every time I really stop to think about it. I kinda smile, no matter what. I'm going to take alot away from this experience.

If anything I've gone from feeling like a kid, to actually feeling like an adult, but for all of the right reasons. Not because I had to, but because it was time and I could. I dunno just hoping the rest of you are doing well, even you Clyde.:D

Just wanted to share with you all kinda what I'm feeling, and sorta hoping that you all aren't in my situation right now, but if you are, hope you can still just stop and enjoy the rain.

 I think I just went cross eyed:lol:

So, it's raining poor people?

Im a little slow on the uptake. I think Im gonna need a little more explanation!!

He's trying to explain that he's dealing with a considerably stressful situation which has, apparently, caused his brain-motor to throw a rod.

Once, tice, fee times a mady!!!

Just kidding SF41. I think I see what you're saying and I agree with you - in life it often seems that when it rains, it pours. Just remember, when life gets seemingly to tough, you'll always have a friend in Jesus. Sometimes its best to just pray about it and follow your feelings. Good luck with this stressful time.

If it was raining poor people....you'd see "ME" coming down in bucket loads.:D

Seriously, I do understand what you are saying. MrRk and I were talking last night (we don't talk often):D that this last year has been the most stressful time of our lives and these last 2 months have just been the worse.

My Mom got really sick in September of last year. We spent 10 days in the local ICU...we went to Central Baptist in Lexington and spent 30 days in ICU....we were released and sent to St. Joe East for Rehab (which was a major joke....if that was rehab..then I am the Queen of England. On the 30th day of Mom being there - her medicare stopped paying and they shipped her out (QUICKLY) and I brought her home for my family to do total - 24/7 home care for her. We were only home for a few weeks until she was back into the hopsital again. We did this routine until about March and then Mom went back into the hospital...to never come home again. In May I had heart surgery and 2 weeks after my surgery I came home to Indiana leaving my family to care for our mom and feeling horrible becaues I couldn't help. Mom went into a nursing home about 2 months ago and she is now back into the hospital. We know that there is nothing anyone can do for mom and that it's just a matter of time. Saturday her children are getting together to pre-plan her funeral at the funeral home and it's hurting all of our hearts greatly.

MrRk was beaten, daily, as a child by his older (adopted) brother. This monster left about 30 years ago leaving his wife and three children. MrRk raised one of his sons and has done whatever he can for his other two children and this man's grandchildren call MrRk Papaw. Well two months ago the granddaughter found this man, by using the internet, and now he is back in everyone's lives and it is a miserable time for MrRk and me. None of these people seem to care what happened to MrRk and the seem to have the thought process that he should just bow and let him do whatever he wants. The last time MrRk agreed for him to come to our house to visit with his mother. This past Sunday, out of the blue, the son that MrRk raised, called and said that his dad was in town and they wanted to come get Mom and take her out to breakfast. Then he called back and said that they'd have to use one of our cars because mom couldn't get into any of their cars. So being a nice man, MrRk said yes. This made me so mad...I couldn't stand the thought that, this monster who beat him everyday of his life, was riding his butt around in our nice car that MrRk had worked hard for. Well needless to say, things have not been good in our household since. MrRk has tried to be a good decent man about all of this but it will stop at this point. I have never seen MrRk as upset as he has been for the past few days and I found out why.......this Man is moving back into our area. I just wished that they would have let this monster alone and let him stay where he was. Now we are having to rethink our whole lives, are we going to live here...what do we do about MrRk's job if we move. So once again this man is making MrRk's life miserable.

So do I know what stress is and do I understand what it feels like to have it pouring down on you in buckets......yea.

Sorry I am so long winded this morning........

So, it's raining poor people?

No, I think he means "It's raining, poor people."

Yes. Times can be very, very hard at times. At times I just sit and wonder why...then, I try to remember that my thinking is that all things happen for a reason. Sometimes it can be very hard and unreal. Hang in there is all you can do.

Rk, I know what you mean in your post. Right before I became a member of this wonderful site, things really blew up. We got a call one day that PH's brother was in really bad health. That night, I got a call that my mom had cancer. The next day, I took emergency leave and left for Washington State to be with my family while PH stayed here with his mom and ill brother. The day after I got to my parents home, my aunt passed away. The next day, mom had cancer surgery. The day after that PH's brother passed away. The very next day after that, mom had to start chemo...my brother (he was 14 at the time) had a horrible asthema attack and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. Later that day, I got a call from PH that my place of employment had called and said they really need my help on an issue...I called them and found out that one of my clients had been abused by one of my staff members and another client, not mine, had taken her own life. My head was spinning by that time.

After a two week stay at my parents home, I went back home. I thought that maybe everything had settled down, but no. I had been home for three days when I got a call telling me my dad needed to have heart surgery....Back to Washington State I went. Mom was very sick with chemo, my brother was have asthema attacks all over the place, and dad was in the hospital. Thank God, dad was and is fine. My brother stopped having attacks, and mom was feeling a little better from the chemo...sick, but alright...so, back home I went. The next day, PH showed me his toe. He said that it had just turned black. Well, we all know what happend there. I quit my job, went bankrupt with a lawyer, and was not proud at all over that.

Well, most of you know the rest of the story after that. so, I will not go into detail from there...except to say, I really wish and pray that PH would heal from his pressure sores and that his bones in his stumps would stop growing all the time. We will be going to the doctor to see if the bones are growing again or what...they are sore and nasty looking. It seems that you get a little break in life and then it all starts again. But, we try to think of one positive thing everyday. Sometimes the only thing I can think of is that PH and I have each other. And, that my friends is a big positive for me!!!

He's trying to explain that he's dealing with a considerably stressful situation which has, apparently, caused his brain-motor to throw a rod.
