I'll be the first to say that Palin was excellent tonight. She proves an enviable speaker.

 

I'll also be the first to say that I have no idea who the intended audience of this convention is. This is a great time to sell to swing voters, yet they are turning them off. What votes are they picking up here?

Chris Matthews called her a "torpedo aimed directly for Barack and Michelle Obama" and their culture and that she "reminds him nothing of Hillary Clinton."

 

I agree on both counts.

If Wolf Blitzer says that a new star has been born, I think she did a pretty good job... I thought she was very effective on the attack yet her delivery was succinct and not an ugly in your face style. A great balance of being feminine and still tough and intelligent at the same time.

:thumb::thumb: I think that Palin proved that she was not a desperation pick. I liked the way that she poked at Obama and ignored Biden. Obama cannot win if he is forced to debate whethert he is more qualified that John McCain's running mate. Those who thought the Palin pick took the experience issue off the table were wrong.
