Jared Lorenzen and Quinn Gray, a pair of veteran quarterbacks signed just before 2008 Training Camp, each were released Saturday afternoon – two of the 22 roster moves announced as the team trimmed its roster to the season-opening 53 mandated by the NFL.

I thought Lorenzen would stick as well, he looked good when I watched him in the preseason. I've read that the Giants might sign a QB later this week in time for the first game...maybe it will be Woodson or Lorenzen?

Hopefully all of those guys will catch on somewhere.

I think maybe Jared will be making phone calls this week asking Tom Coughlin if there is a need holding that clipboard and wearing a ball cap.

The Colts traditionally have only kept 2 QBs. I found out about this 5 min. after it happened. I saw Lorenzon at our kids' soccer game and after some small talk asked him if he had made the roster. He said in a very calm manner that he had been cut 5 min. ago. I thought that they did that face to face, not over the phone.

I certainly wouldnt want to drive 90 min to INdy to have someone tell me I am fired.

 

I have to imagine the Hefty Lefty will get picked up at some point. Dont go looking for a desk job just yet Jared.
