September 1, 200818 yr I don't see anything (red x or a pic) other than the typed out post in the first post.
September 1, 200818 yr So do you see that in the 1st post, or is it just a red X like I'm seeing? First post is just a red x for me as well, hence why I went ahead and attached my picture. My post I just used the attachment feature here on this site, I think the very first post linked it directly off another site and that's why it isn't showing up anymore.
September 1, 200818 yr I am looking forward to it...they still haven't gotten old for me yet. But, I do fear that this one my not be as good as the others.
September 1, 200818 yr Oct 24th, one week before Halloween. I can't wait to watch it, I just hope it takes things to a whole new level. Great thanks! It will, they always take the fear to another level. It takes a fear of kidnapping and torture and adding them together, I love it.
September 23, 200818 yr Author http://www.saw5.com/site/index.html ^ If you go to this site you can watch an exclusive but restricted clip which shows someone in a trap and has to figure his way out by making a crucial decision. Pretty good clip.

September 23, 200818 yr My roommate and I have watched 1-3 over the past two weeks. I just bought IV today, but we are waiting til tomorrow to watch it. I can't wait for this movie. I will be bold enough to suggest and admit that I am the biggest SAW fan on BGP.

I will be bold enough to suggest and admit that I am the biggest SAW fan on BGP. Then maybe you will appreciate seeing this. :thumb: I posted this photo last year when I got back from the convention, I will post it again because I'm a show off. I met Shawnee last November in Indianapolis at a convention. A brief meeting, but she is just awesome. Been a fan going back to Summer School. Anyway, the picture is the demo cover of a band she was in several years ago. They released one demo and one full length cd. She recently finished a cd with Missy Pyle. In any case, when she was in her mid 20's, she wasn't young enough for teen roles anymore and not old yet for anything really substantial. She went to audition after audition and sold herself, well she sold herself like the picture says. Kevin Smith recently told a story that Shawnee did audition for a role in Mallrats. No surprise there considering they auditioned anyone/everyone at the time who fit that age group. Kevin said that she came across very bitter, negative and didn't want to be there. It does seem to fit the possible mind set she was in, trying to get away from those types of films.
September 23, 200818 yr The people in charge of the Saw films have really gotten wealthy from them. I was reading somewhere about the extremely low cost of producing Saw I and it, in turn, made a slew of money. Good for them. Thats the American way! I would be interested to know what the 4 films have grossed to this point.
September 23, 200818 yr Very cool HC...I am a little jealous. And you are definitely right outlaw, they made tons of money off the first movie. So much they decided to make six more because none of them were originally planned.

You will see the release date, next to that is the estimated budget and then the next number is domestic box office. Those totals don't include DVD sales, which have been quite a bit I imagine. You are right, with low production costs, high box office, doesn't take a genius to figure out why they keep making them. Not that it matters, but the original plan was to end the series after part 3. Meaning end the series for the main characters and then starting with part 4 they would have brand new villians, new storyline etc. We all remember how part 3 ended and that's why. Well I guess the initial script for part 4 blew them away and they decided to stick with the Jigsaw character and continue to tie the films together. Now we have plans for 6 and goodness knows they will keep going if that goes well. This info comes from the GREAT website http://www.the-numbers.com
September 23, 200818 yr I think it's crazy that they are able to come out with a high quality video each year. I am very pumped about the new one. And I would definitely agree that DVD sales are quite a bit...I have all four, and my roommate has the first three.
