The seniors are tough, Craft, Baker and the rest are top notch athletes and this year at GCHS is the start to a bright future with Fraley at the helm, I apologize to you Outsider if you thought that, I sure didn't mean it, my son looks up to Eric in a lot of ways and Craft is a gutsy player and one heck of an athlete and one that I would want my son to imulate.

I hope his parents will be glad to hear this. I do not have a dog in this fight only like to read and attend games.

There are some really great senior athletes in both basketball and baseball that would like to finish this years season.

 

The major question is: "Are they coachable"..... last year in basketball Baker and Adkins took more bad shots than I've ever seen 2 kids take..... they need to be reigned in and taught that they have a role to play.... especially Adkins, if he's still on point, needs to understand that his job is to get assists and not points......I think Fraley will do a good job at doing this, he's been around a while and it looks like he's got things going in the right direction....both Adkins and Baker are good athletes and should be major contributors as long as they remember there are other kids on the floor that can shoot too.....

I don't have a boy on the team but I am hearing good things. When the boys talk about him it really seems that he has their respect. I am excited about a great season!

Greenup has a long way to go guys.

Let's face it folks... if Fraley coaches the entire season (I'm sure he will) and they manage to win 12 to 15 games, which is very possible, looking at their schedule... this will be the best season GC's had in years.... I for one, am looking forward to a year without drama in GC basketball....

I haven't looked at the schedule but after what I seen last night I would not go counting wins just yet. Coach Fraley and Coach Sutton will build it up, but it is a process. As they say, play it 1 game at a time!

:thumb:Not to mention that Rusell was the #1 ranked team in the 16th region that year. And the 63rd district was a whole lot stronger than it is right now. Coach Hicks did an excellent job with that team without any support from the administration. We are so glad to have him at Bath County now.

Big daddy I was at the pan-o-rama at Russell Tuesday an if you will pardon the expression "The inmates were running the asylum" Prater fouls out and gets a T , Hampton motions Coach Fraley off as Coach was trying to talk to him, the inside threat I had heard about was non-existent,Williams and Baker stayed 15 feet away from the basket most of the night and Hampton's one move is a left handed drop step. I think this could be a good team but it will be up to Coach Fraley to get ahold of the problems or get rid of the problems

 

There were no inmates running the asylum at practice today, walked in toward the end to pick up the boy and the paint was coming off the gym walls and after he tore their butts they stepped up the drill they were working on, you absolutey got to love it. I would be willing to bet you will see a different attitude against Russell than what is descibed above... :thumb:
