August 22, 200818 yr Gee, that's almost worded as though those on the left would never act that way ...Or maybe you're just reading more into it ... as we know they're much worse.Really? You're entitled to your opinion. Frankly, I see it as equally bad on both sides. Considering the rampant condescension I regularly see from the Right on this board, that's saying something.

Like I said, just go to one of their silly little protests sometime and have a listen. You'll be amazed.
August 22, 200818 yr Instead of Morgan Newton holding a press conference what if he text messged his choice? What is Obama thinking?

August 22, 200818 yr Drudge is reporting that Evan Bayh will be named Obama's running mate. Has he informed any of you who are on Obama's Fave million yet?

August 22, 200818 yr Drudge is reporting that Evan Bayh will be named Obama's running mate. Has he informed any of you who are on Obama's Fave million yet? Anyone can make a coin flip guess at this point and I'm not sold on the bumper-sticker Drudge is showing. Besides being sort of bland, it doesn't follow any of Obama's previous designs.

Besides being sort of bland, it doesn't follow any of Obama's previous designs. I think that Obama will either pick Clinton or pull someone out of left field;we will either be really surprised at the pick, or what ever emotion one associates with Hillary Clinton...a few come to mind.
August 22, 200818 yr I think that Obama will either pick Clinton or pull someone out of left field;we will either be really surprised at the pick, or what ever emotion one associates with Hillary Clinton...a few come to mind. It's Biden or Bayh.

Besides being sort of bland, it doesn't follow any of Obama's previous designs.Actually, I agree. I was just needling Obama's fundraising targets a little bit. Obama seems to be trying pretty hard to divert attention away from the Kansas governor, who I think has as good a shot as anybody. If Obama passes over Hillary, then putting another woman on the ticket might recapture some of those voters.

I would imagine it has to be Biden at this point.
August 23, 200818 yr I think it would throw gas on the fire and enrage Clinton supporters. I would imagine it has to be Biden at this point. It would be a horrible mistake for Obama to put Biden on the ticket, IMO. He should pick somebody who is not an obnoxious jerk to balance the ticket. Seriously, Bayh has executive experience, he is a likable guy and he is a Hillary ally. Plus, he has not already proven that he is a bad campaigner in a national race. Although I do not believe that Obama can carry Indiana, putting Bayh on the ticket would at least force McCain to fight to keep Indiana in the red state column. I have to give Obama's campaign credit, he is showing that he can at least keep a secret - something that neither Bush nor Clinton have been able to do.

I just think Obama is going with Biden.
