Bengals thinking about bringing Henry back

Featured Replies

Heard from one of my sources. I was suprised to here this. I can understand if they are afraid Chad is hurt. I can understand the stance that Henry is really good + he didn't get convicted on the last charge but I am just really suprised the Bengals would go down this road if they do.

Saw a video clip last week of Marvin at one of his press conferences on channel 5 and this is not true. He said the Bengals are not interested and wouldn't be and wished him the best of luck.

IMO this would be an absolutely terrible move. And won't happen.

I thought this was a rumor about three weeks ago or so. Since the, the team has killed the rumor. Chad is obviously not hurt, now TJ on the other hand. Who knows. The Bengals are pretty deep with young wr talent, plus the addition of Utecht. I think they will be fine without Henry, Utecht will be the new redzone target along with TJ.

The shame of it is that Chad, T.J., Henry, and Utecht would be the most lethal combination in the NFL.

If this happens I can only hope that their slide they've been on the last few years continues.

Great talent, not a great head on his shoulders though. I hope they don't bring him back...seems like a cancer.

Mark it down...write it down...whatever you want to say. There's no way the Bengals are going to bring Chris Henry back.

I don't have any sources. I just can't believe they would do this.

NFL Network reported Tuesday night that the Bengals still keep having internal talks about bringing back troubled wide receiver Chris Henry even though he'll miss the first four games of this season with his third NFL suspension. There have been no indications that a signing is imminent.

Houshmandzadeh thinks the Bengals already have weapons with running back Chris Perry and tight end Ben Utecht.

"I think we can win without him and I think we can win with him. Chris can play football," Houshmandzadeh said. "I don't want to get into it that much because I think it's unfair to a certain degree. It would mean somebody who has busted their tail and been here the whole time would be out of a job. I guess what it boils down to is (the other receivers) have to play. If they show the team they can make plays, there'd be no need to bring him back."

^Chris Perry looked really good to me in Green Bay Monday night.

WLW reported that the Bengals had talked to Henry's agent about coming back. Also, I hope the Bengals overuse Perry in the Pre-season because he did look good and powerful Monday night!!!!!
