August 10, 200818 yr Issac Hayes has died at the age of 65. The deep-voiced singer is most recently noted for giving voice to the "Chef" character on Comedy Central's Southpark.
August 10, 200818 yr :cry:This is really sad news for me. Isaac has been one of my favorite entertainers for many years. Theme from "Shaft" is one the all time greats. He was also one of the giants at Stax records.

Disposable actors/singers/entertainers that contribute nothing of value are allowed to deluge us with their crap and yet someone who does something halfway decent gets taken away. I don't think of South Park as the end all/be all, but it's far better than anything many of the disposable entertainers have ever given us. Just very, very frustrating and very sad.

August 10, 200818 yr A family member found Hayes unresponsive near a treadmill and he was pronounced dead about an hour later at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, according to the sheriff's office. The cause of death was not immediately known. One more taken before their time...
