Does Jim Burkhart sound correct for Blackstar????????????????

I never saw Black Star play and don't know much history on them, except what I've heard and read about Mayfield.

 

The only Jim Burkhart I know used to teach at Cawood (Bucky's dad).

I accidentally posted this question on the wrong thread but HDE nailed it. The question was: Did any county teams have undefeated regular seasons? What teams and years?

I know this will be easy but I was just curious. What was the first year Harlan Ind. had football and what is their overall record?

I believe you are correct about Burkhart. He may have coached at Hall High during that time as well. He also taught @ Cawood.

I don't think Kirksey ever played in the NFL but he has coached all over. At one time he was Jerry Rice's postition coach.

Cawood beat Bell in 1986. The Trojans actually dominated the series for years and defeated Dudley Hilton's teams his first four years I think, including three at the new school. I think Cawood won the first game played at Log Mountain in 1984.

 

Name the MVP of that last victory over Bell?

The Enterprise had a great picture of Garry Henson and Tim Shackleford sandwiching the Bell quarterback. Both of those guys had big games. Tommy Hensley would always be a safe bet.

The first year we have is 1931, but I don't have the energy to add up the record.

Henson, Shack and Hensley all had great games and could of very easily been the mvp. However, they had a co-mvp that night of the coke bowl both from Cawood. ???????????????????
