Do you listen to Philly sports talk shows and or read their newspapers? Just curious as to how you would know this.

I was talking about the NY media with that. If they make a big deal out of something, ESPN makes it a big deal, and they didn't as far as I can remember.

So you don't think the media would be all over this, say in NY or Philly?

Had he left Seattle for NY or Philly, he would of been gone a couple years ago.

Yep. Cincinnati is easy street compared to the big city media.

Santa stunk that year:lol:

That's funny right there . . ..:lol::lol:

What is it with Dusty's players not being able to get along with the team's announcers? Jon Miller in SF. Steve Stone in Chicago. Now Jeff Brantley in Cincinnati.

Good, this makes me like Junior even more!

One can always tell when the Reds season is lost.........again, lol. Everyone finds anything to talk and complain about. Then again, if that were the case we could have started this around mid May.:D

Not really....I didn't see the media make a big deal out of the Chase Utley thing during the All-Star break.

Did Utley give the "death" signal?

The video is unclear, per this link. MLB players have been both cheered and jeered, during their playing days.

Take the good comments, with the bad comments and address any personal issues, in an appropriate place. Announcers comment, on what they perceive, hear and believe. They're not always right but nonetheless, have their opinion.

If Griffey did the gesture, unprofessional on his part, regardless of how he feels about Brantley. There are always youngsters watching and emulating, one of the games best and in this instance, he's not.

This is what makes Cincinnati great, not the Griffey-Brantley thing, but this idiot who wrote 2 blogs in a row. Brantleyhater wrote:

When all the smoke clears, Ken Griffey Jr. will be one of the most celebrated baseball players of our time. He will stand out in a positive light in the textbooks of History for our era as one of the best that remained separate from all the scandals that has plagued the players of today. He is celebrated as a Hero and baseball King in Seattle,Oregon. He should be in Cincinnati, Ohio too. As he surpasses 600 and goes towards 700 the nation will know who the true Baseball King is.

Awesome.

They boo him because he's been a terrible player. He could throat slash all he wanted if he produced.

I didn't see the 2 plays in the outfield what did he do? I know he didn't hustle by reading what you have said, but what exactly was the play he didn't make?
