July 28, 200818 yr What is it with Dusty's players not being able to get along with the team's announcers? Jon Miller in SF. Steve Stone in Chicago. Now Jeff Brantley in Cincinnati. STORY LINK VIDEO LINK
July 28, 200818 yr Jr. is a HOF'er, no doubt about it. In my opinion all his numbers are legit, no off the field troubles that I'm aware of, good family man. I respect what he has been able to accomplish over the years without using steriods. All that being said, it is time for him to at worse, go back to the AL. When the time comes where you don't want to hustle for fear if injury, it's time to move on. Those two plays on saturday, I believe it was, were totally uncalled for, and he had every right to be booed.

I don't care if they give him to someone.
July 28, 200818 yr Knowing Jr like I do, which is not at all, I'll still assume that the throat slash was a 'cut it out' slash more than a 'I'm going to kill you' slash. Much ado about nothing...

July 28, 200818 yr They should do anything and everything to unload him. I don't care if they give him to someone. They should trade him because he's hitting .246 with 14 homeruns and can't cover 'the dirt spot', correct?

Don't agree. I didn't hear it personally but the tirade caught by FSNs mike supposedly was pretty nasty.

Oh, I disagree. I think it was more like...Hey Brantley, I'm Ken bleepin bleepin Griffey, go bleep urself. Edited July 28, 200818 yr by Baseballguy
July 28, 200818 yr They should trade him because he's hitting .246 with 14 homeruns and can't cover 'the dirt spot', correct? I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you intimating the Reds should keep him?

July 28, 200818 yr I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you intimating the Reds should keep him? Just asking if you think they should trade him because he's not helping the team win and his numbers stink or because of the throat slash?
July 28, 200818 yr They are both washed up, hard to watch/listen too at this point in their careers. Let them have their beef, at least it is news.
