I would say keep him. However, if we can get some type of (almost ready position)prospect for him that would help, do it; and use Griff's money for another pitcher.

I like him because he is steady... You know what you are gonna get out of him...

That said, people overpay for pitching. If they can get something good out of the deal go for it IMHO...

1B- Votto

2B- Phillips

SS- Keppinger

3B- Encarnacion

C- Ross or a signee

Weathers?

Bruce, Votto, and Cueto will all be better and more experienced.

Not sold on Hairston. Catch is a big? Weathers another year older. JRs money will hopefully make an impact to this lineup.

Trade him for a catcher or to free up some money to find some meaningful catching. There's enough younger and cheaper versions of Arroyo in the Reds' farm system now.

Keep Bronson. Keep Griffey at a significantly reduced salary for leadership and ticket sales. Find a better defensive left feilder than Dunn. Trade Dunn to the AL for a pitcher so he can DH.

I wish the Reds could find a Catcher who can control the running game, call a solid game and hit .280. I don't care if he hits a single HR. I'd like to see if the guy they have at AAA can keep his production up at the ML level.

Not an option...

And he doesn't provide leadership or ticket sales at any price anyways.

Only way you trade him is if you really rip off some team. Bronson wants to be there and feels that they can win there. Pitching is too hard to get, at least pretty good pitching. The Reds may have the best 1-5 in the NL next season if he is there.

Reds fans are hard to figure. Complain about not having pitching than when they do have it they want to trade it away.

Since the 2007 season, he is 18-22 with a 4.73 ERA. At his salary level, he is very replaceable. He's a very lieable guy, but I don't know that we'd be giving away all that much quality pitching.

What did he have last year, 6 or 7 games that he had the bullpen recorded a blown save?

His record should have been about 24-22. Not much better but a winning record.

I like Bronso but he may be at his peak for what we can get for him now. Let's face it this team isn't winning anything this year.

Trading him hits more on next year on the Reds side...
