Guess who said it for Corbin and Middlesboro fans (anyone can guess)?

I would guess Dudley Hilton but that would be obvious so it has to be someone else.

Sometimes the answers are obvious. You are correct!

Maybe someday we'll play em again..I miss the whole atmosphere of a Bell/M'boro game cause no matter where it was at (M'boro or Log Mountain) it was always rocking!

Situations like this are a shame but considering how public schools deal with private schools (boycott) it is no wonder that public schools deal with other successful public schools in the same manner.

Really cheats the fans and players of a good rivalry. Oh well.

You would think with the comments Coach Hilton has made that would make them get fired up and play us again, which IMO is why he makes the comments, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I heard Corbin had refused to play some smaller schools from around that area too.

I would like to see the natural rival games return, it was a shame that Steve Jewell ended this series.

Playing tough games and tough teams will prepare any team for the playoffs.

Yeah its real cowardly for 2A schools not to want to play 5A.

Bell is 4A but I get your point.

Some Boro' fans and Redhound fans can elaborate but from the feelings and the talk from this region, I never felt it was a discrimination against Bell County, it is something else, why they won't play.

Check out the Corbin vs. Bell and Middlesboro vs. Bell....my understanding is that they both still "own" Bell when it comes to the series W-L records. Bell was their "doormat" for a long while....and then when the tables turned in recent years.....they "took their ball and went home!" LOL!

Regardless of class Corbin and Middlesboro have strong programs, and when you play the tough games it just makes you better. Corbin never backed down from playing good teams in the 70's, 80's and 90s, playing in the (now defunct) ThoroughBred Bowl, and traveling all over the state, taking the likes of GRC and Bryan Station, or course they were down the years that Corbin played them but my point I think is valid. Corbin could compete with them, and for whatever reason does not play them.

I heard from a Bell County person that Steve Jewell stopped playing becuase he did not like the way Dudley Hilton ran his program. True or not I can't say but I can say I believed the person who told me that.
