Track The Reds (Week 15)

Why wasn't the Bray descion a good one? No, the outcome wasn't the best, but I had no problem with bringing him in there. Plain and simple, he didn't do his job today.

No problem with the decision. But, if you are going to play that card and it doesn't work, you should come back and go righty vs righty.

Also. Why no Burton in the 9th? Is he a little sore or something?

No Burton because,

FROM HAL McCOY:

------------------------------------

Now, I can’t believe none of you astute observers have wondered the last two days why Jared Burton hasn’t pitched. They’ve kept it nicely under cover, hoping the Milwaukee Brewers wouldn’t notice.

Burton isn’t available. He’s hurt. How bad? Check back after the All-Star break.

It happened last week when he was pitching against the Nationals and a dispute broke out on the field. While the umpires and the Reds argued, Burton stood and watched. Didn’t throw any practice pitches.

When the on-field discussions ended, Burton threw a pitch and, “Ow.” Something under his arm pit hurt. He tried to pitch in Chicago, but couldn’t extend, so he was shut down.

“With three days of rest here (in Milwaukee) and three days during the All-Star break, that gives him plenty of rest,” said manager Dusty Baker. “We’ll have him throw Thursday and see if he is OK or if we have to disable him and get help from Louisville.”

CoCo should have started the 9th inning.

Not on the road IMO...

Because if you bring him in for a lefty, why wouldn't you bring a righty to face Kapler.

Because Bray actually fares better against righties.

If your pulling Bailey to make it a lefty vs lefty matchup, then you need to have a righty waiting for the on-deck batter.

Im not saying that at all, what I am saying is that in todays game Dusty pulled Homer for a lefty vs lefty matchup, since that didn't work I don't understand why he didn't go righty vs righty against Kapler.

They really don't have a situational lefty.

Oh boy. I was on the verge of thinking mabe something good about this team. I was an eyelash away from jumping on the proverbial bandwagon. Ah but I watched the game today. I'm watching the "Savior" spinning a masterpiece. Adam Dunn hit a SAC fly for Pete's sake. I'm almost there. Then in comes Bray. The bats are in the dumper and then Stormy pitches 2! innings. Thanks guys. Whew! That was close.

I still leave my prediction at 83-79. Now that is optimistic!

They really don't have a situational lefty.

The only one I know of the 5'6 kid in Louisville that throws 63 MPH occasionally.

We might see the Horse Jockey up, Burton is hurting.

Why? Like I said Bray is better against righties. I'm sure another reason he pulled Homer is to make sure he didn't take the loss if Fielder had hit a two run homer. He wanted to make sure he left on a positive note.

Fielder er Sabathia:lol: had already gone deep on Homer. I don't have a problem with the move. Bray just didn't get the job done.
