According to the Box Score it looks like Hairston moved to left, Patterson ran for Dunn and went to center and Griffey stayed in right. I thought Griffey only entered the game for his AB, unless they pulled a double switch and he went to right in the top half of the inning.

July 3, 200818 yr Why does Baker leave thompson in after getting hit so much at the start? The Reds battle back to take a short lead , but he leaves Thompson in. Pirates must love seeing the Reds on the schedule.
July 3, 200818 yr Who was that remark intended for? He said that after Thompson recorded five outs in a row after the rough start. I believe he was saying that's what Thompson may of been thinking. Turns out, it could be true.
July 3, 200818 yr I remember Hal Mccoy making a comment before Thompson's first start that he wasn't ready for the majors yet and needed more time. Like anyone his age, Thompson has shown good and bad signs, because the Reds aren't going anywhere this year, maybe give the kid a few more starts to see how he responds and continues to evolve.
