From speaking to another excoach at NCC, it seems there are many issues with the parents. Too bad NCC lost more than one good coach.

The point is there are issues with parents at all schools, but in the vast majority the administation steps up and solves these problems before coaches are forced to resign.

Did any of these "issues" start when they started playing 8th graders on the varsity?

I don't think 8th graders have ever played varsity at NCC. I don't think they have in any sport. I'm almost positive they've never played varsity in boys or girls basketball.

Wasn't Courtney Sandfoss moved up to the freshman and then at the end of the yr moved up to dress and maybe play V?

Sandfoss never dressed or played varsity that year.

What about those rare cases where the administration doesn't step up and tell a coach he/she needs to step down for the good of the school and most of all the kids. There are instances that we are all aware of like this that allow incompetent coaches to continue in their position far to long. Obviously Coach McDonald was plenty competent but there have been grumblings coming down from the hill for sometime with regards to how she ran things.

So who are some ot the candidates on Detzels short list?

Again, 200-98, looks like she ran things pretty well for the job she was hired to do, coach basketball. What were the grumblings? I would guess it is from those parents who can't come to realize their child isn't the player they think they are.

Wow!! NCC was very fortunate to lose a good coach and be able to have a school official w/coaching experience, along with his niece, ready to step in and take over on such short notice.

Good pick-up. He should do well.

I am glad a a great coach like Mr Dawn took the job. I am sure he will do great!!

Are the Dawns and the Pangallo's related?

Yes. Ron's daughter is married to Steve Pangallo. Ron will do a great job.
