Started My Cardiac Rehab Today

Featured Replies

I have been so excited to get started on my cardiac rehab and it was everything I thought it would be. I started this morning at 9:30 and it was a wonderful experience. They immediately put a heart monitor on me and made me walk around a track until they told me to stop. What a great surprise when they took my blood pressure and heart rate after I stopped and they were both normal.

This is going to be so good for me and I am so blessed to have insurance that will pay 100% and I can do this for 3 visits a week for 18 weeks.

I could not have asked for people to have been any kinder to me and I just know that this is an experience that I will always look back on fondly.

Good to hear that things are going well RK.

Glad everything is going great and make sure you take care of yourself. JD

That is wonderful RebelK. My dad still goes to rehab 2 days a week...he loves it...also a social hour for him... Keep us posted on how things go in the coming weeks.:thumb:

On a side note....have you got your taste back yet? I know that sometimes can take awhile.

No....everything taste the same and I still can't get anything cold enough to drink. The doctor told me that it could take a couple of months for all of this to come back. I can't wait to drink something so cold that it gives me a brain freeze:lol::lol::lol:

Good luck on your cardiac rehab! RK, if you would like a brain freeze from something so cold try the drink Arctic Freeze from Dairy Queen. They have several flavors- I like the Strawberry Kiwi. It will remind you of a smooth icee. Its almost a guarantee for a brain freeze!!!

Great news RebelK, keep up the good work. Our prayers here at the Ramblers will continue for you.

Great news, RK! Sounds like everything is going well for you, I'm so happy for you!!! :thumb:
