I have been following Leonard and most of Kentucky's top football players and he is a legit D1 prospect just ask Idaho State, UCLA, Missouri State, Illinois, WKU, Louisville, Tennessee, Cincinnati and Kentucky just to name a few because they all are recruiting him.

From what I have seen, the kid has a ton of talent and little heart. He doesn't play every play like it's meaningful. I guess if he really applied himself he could potentially be a D1 impact player.

Athletic Ability= A+

Work ethic= C-

 

Not a very good combination if you want to be great in my opinion.

I have watched Macon over the last 3 years. He is a legit D1 recruit. The kid has all the skills necessary to be a great receiver. He is extremely athletic and is coordinated for his Height. I have seen plenty of talls not coordinated enough to make any catch. His Height is part of the package. What I have questioned is his heart on every play. You can scout him easily. He runs hard when the play is for him and eases up when the play is not directed at him. He tends to to rise up when pressed but not when he is not involved. I think the key is to keep him involved in the offense and don't play him on defense unless you have to. He seems to get winded and his overall condition seems to wane as the year progresses.

 

If the right coach can tap into his pride he could be great. He is better than Baughman.

 

 

 

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'll be the first to say that I haven't been impressed with all of his play, but it is obvious that he has all of the tools to be an extremely gifted receiver. I have seen him take plays off and I have seen him effortlessly make acrobatic catches as well. He has the opportunity to go far in life on the football field, but if he doesn't get his head and his heart right, he will not go far at all. I wish Leonard the best wherever he ends up and I still will hold out hope that he ends up at Boyle County. It's not like we couldn't use him. Spencer Perrin had a lot of the same things said about him and he turned out just fine.

Good kid, tremendous athlete, unlimited potential; I think we can all agree on these things-it is the question of his heart and willingness to be at the top of the football food chain that has most of us questioning him.

Personally, as a LC fan, I hope he stays at Taylor and out of the 12th region. His basketball abilities scare me. LOL

From what is said on the boys basketball forum here on bluegrasspreps.com, it seems to me that he may as well quit football all together and just play basketball for Taylor County. He seems to be a beast on the court with incredibly vicious dunks on the AAU circuit.

I keep hearing and reading about this kid's DUNKS - does that make a great basketball player? I mean, yes I know he is 6'6" and that is good, but can he do anything but dunk? And is dunking enough to give up football???:eek:

Did you get that fact about UK pulling there offer from Rich Brooks. Or did you get that from magic imformation hat. The offer is still their and waiting. And I talked to Rich Brooks and Joker Phillips.
