June 25, 200818 yr I'm not overly upset about these comments. The same way I don't get mad at Chris Rock and other African American Entertainers when they make generalizations about white Americans. People need to wake up and smell the coffee, life is too short to get mad about something you heard on the radio or TV.

June 25, 200818 yr I in no way,shape or form agree with or support what Imus said. Even if his explantion was correct then he defintely sould have choosen his wording diferent. So, I just wanted to say that before this next statement. No doubt Imus was wrong in saying what he did. I have to wonder though about some comments from people like Al Sharpton, Oprah Winfrey, Woopi Goolderg, Star Jones, Jesse Jackson. Charles Barkley, Rev. Wright, Michelle Obama along with plenty of others down through the years and at different times in different situations were racist? Seems to me that no one was calling for their head ot there was no media outrage when some "out of the way comments" were made. Yes, Imus was wrong but weren't these others just as wrong? Yes, they were but the difference is that nothing was said about some others. I am not looking to get into any kind of racial debate so don't even go there. I am just asking the question an bringing up if there is double standard that seems to exist. Why hasn't the media and people went after these others that have made racial comments? Some were worse than what Imus has said.

Anyone that knows me will tell you those claims are just not true at all. I am not that way and was just asking a question. I sincerely apologize if it offends anyone. Should a mod think that my post #53 is out of line then by all means, please delete it. I was asking a question in the most recpectable way that I knew how and am not looking to get into anything like that. I would never think that way.
