LCA will be very tough. The only player they lost is Ross. He was obviously one of the best players in KY. They have a pretty solid ace, yet pitching will be the quesiton mark. They will have an offense as good as any, along with every position starter back.

:laugh: Wow, no matter what the poll may be about you always find a way to throw a negative line out at Harrison. I don't know what it is about you camel fans, but you all just hate the Breds. I mean now that i think about it, it makes since why. But get over it. Brandon Martin may have dominated on the mound (everytime) but, he did not have the greatest bat on the team. He came around and got 2 key hits against the Colts of west j. But if i recall correctly he didn't really win any games for the breds at the plate. Any of these yound breds can work hard and become the pitcher that Brandon was. Brandon was a great young man and will be greatly missed by the breds. But he's in the past, the breds have to move on. :thumb:

 

Dude if you think Brandon Martin can be duplicated then all I can say to you is wow. As far as hating Harrison County there is another misconception. You need to be realistic about the capabilities of this team. It is ok to want your home town team or high school team to be the best but this years team and next years team isnt even in the same class as your state champion teams. You have a very rich baseball heritage there and that is something to be proud of but using the word hate is about as red as you can get. It is just a game. Nobody and I repeat nobody at or in Campbell County hates anyone because of a kids game.

There is no reason that Greenup will not make it back to Applebee's next year.

Cov Cath has all nine returning starters... they only lose Dan Neihaus who pitched and was an alright DH. With a bunch of younger pitchers that have matured nicely... I look for them to compete for the title next year.

Cov Cath has all nine returning starters... they only lose Dan Neihaus who pitched and was an alright DH. With a bunch of younger pitchers that have matured nicely... I look for them to compete for the title next year.

 

Thats false, while they return a lot, its not all nine, they will have 6 or 7 everyday starters from last year. But I agree they will be really good.

No. I am 100% positive they return ALL nine. Maile, Darner, Holocher, LaFever, Isler, Nutini, Klein, Warning and Van Sant. All will be seniors except for Klein and Warning, they will be juniors.

Warning was not a starter for Cov Cath. There is a chance he could be in the outfield for the Colonels next year however. I think if Cov Cath can get one more solid bat to step up, in combination with several junior pitchers stepping up they will be very hard to beat late in the season.

Agreed. Being ranked in the top 25 all year, defeating teams such as Lawrence County, and competing well against Lex Cath, Lex Christian, Male, etc. I see this team competing to be in the top 3 by the end of the year.
