McCain's Oil Wrong

Featured Replies

The holy grail of biofuels — cellulosic ethanol — needs to make its entrance soon.

In 20 years we are going to be sending A LOT of oil back to OPEC and in 50 years, they won't be able to give it away. Hope it was worth 10 years of skyrocketing profits.

Details, link?

It doesn't matter. The numbrs are from Soros's front organization, regardless of who cited them elsewhere.

No link... just my opinion.. we are taking slow but progressive steps to get off oil. Bush warned the Saudi's but I guess they prefer 10 years of skyrocket profits. We are the lucky generation who gets to live through the slow withdrawl of the oil addiction. Our kids and especially there kids, will pay next to nothing for fuel when they hit the road.

Were not necessarily trying to lower gas prices, were trying to get off oil. Problem is we started this process in 2006.

Yes that was me. This is also not the first time that I have informed you that you have posted statistics from a website to which Soros has made large donations. If you want to rely on statistics or rankings from websites accepting large donations from Soros, that is your business but IMO anything tainted by Soros cash is suspect and that includes both candidates.

Soros has made much of his fortune manipulating currencies. He was convicted of insider trading in France.

IMO, if this country follows the course that Soros has proposed, our economy will continue to decline. I suspect that Soros is betting against the dollar and will add to his sizable personal fortune as the dollar continues to weaken.

I do not trust socialists and I do not trust Soros in particular. He has a record of cashing in on other people's misery and I have no reason to believe that he has my best interests at heart. Politicians who are in bed with Soros have sold their souls to the devil.

Can't the same be true of the oil speculators and companies? They are betting on bigger profits at this time despite what it is doing to the American economy. Why is it different for them?

If oil speculators are actively trying to manipulate the market, then they should be in jailed. If they are simply looking at Congressional inaction and scapegoating of big oil and speculators, as I am, and deciding that things can only get worse in the energy area, then speculators are doing nothing wrong.

If Soros is truly pushing policies that he believes will strengthen our economy and investing accordingly, then he is doing nothing wrong. However, Soros has a history of manipulating currency markets for personal profit.

Aside from disagreeing with Soros on most issues, I do not trust him because he is smart enough to invest his money in such a way that he could profit from a total meltdown of our economy.

The fact that Soros was convicted of insider trading in France and he is wealthy enough to shape American public policy and affect elections in a significant way makes me suspicious of his motives. If multi-billionaire Soros is acting out of genuine concern for his adopted country, then there is no problem. But what is Soros is betting against the dollar while pushing a socialist agenda?

McCain was Soros' top pick among Republicans but Obama is clearly Soros's top pick in November. If you have no problem with the propaganda spread by Soros's puppets, then you should vote for Obama. If you really believe that McCain is the sixth most conservative member of the US Senate, then Obama is your man. If you believe that Obama has a plan to provide the US full energy independence, then I would vote for Obama if I were you.

I just wonder how somebody who believes all of the above could possibly be undecided. If I believed all of that stuff, I would be making plans to vote for Obama on the earliest possible data so that I could help haul other voters to the polls on election day.

(Ask youself why Geoge Soros would provide financial support for one of the most conservative members of the US Senate. Answer - he wouldn't.)

Why would McCain being the 6th most conservative senator make you want to vote for Obama? Aren't you conservative?

Soros' puppets may be spreading propaganda. But if he's supporting both candidates financially, he's probably supporting both with their own fair shares of propaganda.

I never said I believe everything I post here, did I? I like to read things that interest me and if they interest me, I post them. I do not see a problem with that. If you do, I am truly sorry.

^Given the choice of voting for Soros' top choice and his second choice, I will either vote for his second choice or a third party. Like you, I also post information that interests me. I have no interest in reading or posting Soros-financed propaganda.

And I have no interest trying to Google George Soros' or anything involved with him every single time I post a link. I will leave that to you :thumb:.

You keep lobbing them up to the plate, and I will keep swatting them out of the park.

Please do not threadjack this thread into another Bush bashing exercise. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree with Aces. The proper use of this forum is Obama bashing, all the time.

Apparently some people take criticism of McCain's energy plan as Obama bashing. I can understand why. The plans have much in common and neither will do anything to slow the rapid pace of gasoline price hikes.

Get a fuel efficient car. We are 20 years behind on drilling, and its gonna take another 5 to feel the effects of the new stuff coming online, to provide some relief.
