I'd say the people who have Breathitt Co. on their schedule next year probably care. I'd say there may be a grandma or an uncle of a player who probably cares who will have such a profound influence on their loved one's life.

Sports teaches so many life lessons that it should not be downplayed. Often times, kids are motivated to make better grades because they play sports.

Wasn't the Fugate one of the kids who quit last season who at the time was playing the point? Kids demanding a certain position or they will not play sounds interesting....I personally prefer those kids who have the heart and desire to want to play for the love of the game versus those that only want what they think is best for them. A good coach IMO plays to win by maximizing the talent pool within the team that he/she may have while maintaining the proper chemistry among the players.

I have learned that most rumors are NOT true. I don't know if Coach Noble will return to Owsley (he should), but I can guarantee you the Banks will not be there.

 

You are so right--Coach Noble should return to Owsley. They gave him a head coaching job when Breathitt ignored him. I know it would be tough to pass up a Breathitt job--if the head administrator was different--but after a brief honeymoon--it will back to usual for the head Bobcat! Noble BEWAre!!

I would certainly hate to lose Doug Noble at Owsley County. He is a class act, and has the support he needs at Owsley. He has a heck of a middle school group coming up through the system. He's a very dedicated person, and is much appreciated by this Owsley County fan. Hopefully he will be back next season.

You are right on Professor! The Middle School kids are in tears thinking that Coach Noble might leave. They have really grown close to him this year. I hope they do not get let down.

I dont see Doug staying at Owsley, with what arch told me he would be insane to stay. He is getting a guarenteed 4 year contract no matter how good they do or how bad they do.

Let's get the story right about what happen to Banks, First the Noble and Salyers kids left and then Allen and Fugate, then last week Banks went to Knott Co. at the Sportsplex and wouldn't play Perry Central or Hazard on Monday and came back on Thur. and beat Owsley by 1 pt. and then lost to Hazard's JV team by about 40. And Arch told him he wasn't going to have a team to lose to a JV team like that and also told Banks that he was the one in fault for running all the players off. That is 100% facts:

Why would they want Banks????
