June 8, 200818 yr First of all I want to extend my thanks to each and everyone of you that have posted. I told my wife about it and can't wait to show her all the post and well wishes when she gets home. Mrs. OR is still droggy and in and out of sleep. She has been through quite an ordeal to say the least. She is not out of the woods just yet but things are a world of better than they were this morning. I hope to get to talk with the doctor/doctor's again tommorrow and I will try to post updates as I can and/or contact someone to post them if I am going to be away from the computer. I also want to thank all for your well wishes and prayers for my condition but this prayer request thread is for Mrs. OR, she may be my wife but you just don't have to take my word for it, Mrs. OR I am convinced is an angel on earth. I don't mean to go on or to sound that way but I know that I am blessed to have her in my life and I must say for a short while this morning I wasn't sure if I would any longer. All of your prayers are appreciated and as we all have said, this is what makes BGP family. A special thanks to my "Raceland Ram" family on here.....cvillecat, incognito amoung others we have been close for years and always will be. Well, I have "Rambled" on for too long and thanks again and please keep your prayers going for Mrs. OR. I'll try and keep updates posted. God bless your great love for the angel in your life. God still has great plans for both of you.
June 8, 200818 yr Just a quick update. Mrs. OR got to get out of bed a few times today and this evenng, she sat in the chair and stood up for a while each time. Tommorrow plans are to get her up and walking some. She has developed a fever that has me concerned though. Her sister (who is a nurse) is staying with her tonight and her temp has went up to 102.5. They ran chest x-rays and found (something that I can't spell or pronunce) the what amounts to from the lying still in bed along with just taking short breaths and some "sedment"?? had set in the bottom chamber of the lungs. I was told that once she gets to breathing deeply and gets up and moving round more tha it will hopefully correct itself. Thanks again for all of your prayers and concerns, it really helps. (p.s., on a lighter note.....se must be getting better, she was starting to get grouchy with me and her sister tonight - lol)

June 8, 200818 yr PH does that with almost all of his surgeries....Once he is able to get into his chair and wheel himself around, it does clear itself up...usually takes just the one day. I am really happy that she is getting grumpy! LOL That is always a great sign! I know how hard it is to see someone you love and adore to be laid up in the hospital. Just know that she will be fine now. Thanks for the updates. Our prayers are still with you!
June 8, 200818 yr I can attest that Mrs. OR is definitely an angel in our midst. When my mother was in and out of the hospital over a period of years, there were days that I just didn't think I could face it anymore. I'd be walking down the hall, praying to God for strength and courage, and in no more than a few seconds, Mrs. OR would be there with a beautiful smile and her arms stretched out to give me a big hug! God allowed our paths to cross at precisely the moment I needed it most, over and over again. I've shared that story with both OR and Mrs. OR, they both are wonderful people! Still praying for you guys!
June 8, 200818 yr Author Update on Mrs. Oldrambler. I just spoke to Oldrambler and he stated the Mrs. was doing a little better but still having some problems. She was being taken to x-ray to be checked for pneumonia and a possible blood clot. Please continue to keep Mrs. Oldrambler & Oldrambler in your Prayers.
June 8, 200818 yr Prayers are continued to be said for both Mr & Mrs. OR. I do hope that the chest x-rays turned out o-kay. Please let us know.
June 9, 200818 yr Once again, I thank everyone for your concern and prayers. Mrs. OR had a cat scan done earlier to check for possible pneumonia or blood clot in her lungs. We got the results back earlier this evening and the Doctor said that there was one area of the lung (very small area) that showed a very small spot, he said that it was so small and insignificant looking that he really didn't think that it was a clot and may have been something that she had had there since birth. He did however start her on a light blood thinner for precautionary measures. Also, he said that he did not detect any pneumonia but would start an anti botic just bc of the fever but he said that he thought that the breathing exercises and her being able to walk and move more that things might line out. Her blood pressure was down some but still little high. They also came in later and did a ultra sound on her legs to check for any clots, we should hear from that tommorrow.. The Mrs. is a fighter and definatley the better half of this marraige, she has put up with me for over 22 years so that alone more than qualifies her as a saint. lol. Thanks again to everyone for all of your prayers.............that is what is going to get her through this. I'll try and keep updates posted or let cville or incognito know something to post if I can't.
