June 4, 200818 yr Reds lose for the second game in a row since Grande is behind the mic. Get Cowboy back on TV.
June 4, 200818 yr I've tried doing the same thing, even in non-Reds threads only to be stalked by Reds fans and chippy comments. As I told LRCW, 75-80% of the posts I made in Reds forums were constructive, positive, and provided links about the Reds in a positive light. The same can't be said on the flip side which is why I'm done with baseball on here. I thought you were done with baseball on here two weeks ago? Ocho Psycho, is that you???
June 4, 200818 yr I said earlier that while I wanted to be excited about this team, there is nothing I could see to get excited. That is changing. The youth of this team intrigues me on what they could be. Volquez and Cueto added with Harang/Arroyo and you add one more #2 starter and this could be one of the best rotations in the NL. Votto has quickly become one of my favorite players. Phillips is still young. Bruce, Keppinger, Edwin.
June 4, 200818 yr You don't tend to grab the back of your leg when you blow out a knee. I've had some problems with the hamstring in that area, and it looks like that's where he grabbed... I thought hamstring was above the knee. Looked like he grabbed below the knee in the back.
June 4, 200818 yr I thought hamstring was above the knee. Looked like he grabbed below the knee in the back. Hamstring connects at the knee.
June 4, 200818 yr Hamstring connects at the knee. But at the top of the knee correct? He grabbed below the knee. Top of the calf.
June 4, 200818 yr But at the top of the knee correct? He grabbed below the knee. Top of the calf. It looked to me like he grabbed right behind the knee. Almost as if the hamstring had disconnected from the bone/tendon.
June 4, 200818 yr It looked to me like he grabbed right behind the knee. Almost as if the hamstring had disconnected from the bone/tendon. And I was wondering the same thing but the calf muscle. I first wondered ruptured achilles tendon but that was way too high.

"He heard something pop," Dusty Baker said. Freel being out probably mean Corey Patterson will be back. With Ken Griffey Jr. hurting, the Reds need an outfielder. Patterson on the roster. I know that won't be a popular choice. But there aren't any alternatives. Norris Hopper still can't thorw. Chris Dickerson is on the roster, but he's hitting .253 with 44 strikeouts in 154 at-bats.

It's never good to hear something pop. He may be out for some time.
June 4, 200818 yr And I was wondering the same thing but the calf muscle. I first wondered ruptured achilles tendon but that was way too high. You clearly haven't seen that many major leg injuries. Farney clutched the back of his leg above the knee. That's right where the hammy connects...
June 4, 200818 yr FWIW, Patterson is hitting .409 in his 5 games for the Bats. The other two guys on the 40 man that are outfielders in Louisville are hitting as stated above .253 and a robust .232. If they wanted to bring Cabrera up they would have to put him on the 40 man and I think replacing Freel's speed and hustle is more important than the bat at this point. Now as long as Dusty can hide his urge to put Patterson in the lineup I think it's the right move...
