Agree with Raiderbird COACH SANDERS of Bellevue what a great coach and great guy!!!!

 

Your above statement maybe true but in the end he didn't get his team out of districts. He did beat Cov Cath when they didn't throw one of their top 5 pitchers but he did a nice job this year but he didn't get it done.

It may be a homer vote, but I'll go with Krumpelbeck. With only two seniors on the roster, this has been an impressive season for the Colonels.

He coaches at Bellevue.....not CovCath!! Bellevue doesn't have a quarter of the boys that the bigger schools have.. They competed against and beat some of the big boys this year..Anyone could coach at CovCath with the talent they have year in and year out....Give some credit to the small dog...the guy deserves it.....:irked:

I'll throw a vote in for Bishop Brossart's Coach Bob Rowe and his staff. Lost eight starters to graduation, and all but one of his pitchers from a senior laden '07 team. Managed to finish about .500 against another very ambitious schedule, won the regional "A", went 10-4 in the region overall, won his 200th career game, and was a heartbeat away from making the regional tourney vs. Scott. Great year IMO given the unproven returning talent, and managed to even direct a previously little used JV pitcher to the next level. Another impressive season by a largely underrated head coach who always seems to get the most of his talent!! :thumb:

I completely agree. Coach Rowe did a great job with the talent he was given. Wins against Clark, Harrison, Lloyd, Bellevue, and almost a win against Beechwood and CovCath definitely deserves a coach of the year award. I would give my vote for coach of the year in not only NKY but probably all of Kentucky as well. Coach Rowe is a class act and just an amazing coach and an even better guy.

The Coach at Boone, or Sanders from Bellevue.

How about Schulkens? A guy that takes a team ranked 12th I think, at the beginning of the year and beats the "hands down" number one team in the region for the championship. I feel he out coached opposing coaches in his three regional wins. You've got an underdog that rallys the troops and keeps them believing they can win all the way to winning the region. Isn't this what coaching is all about? I'm voting for Schulkens, I feel he meets the criteria.

Coach Sanders is a great guy and a very good coach!

A little bias but I have to say Coach Schulkens from NCC. His team won the All A regional, district championship and then the 9th region title. Beating CovCath the consensus #1 team in NKY all year. What more can a coach accomplish in one year?

His team won every important game they participated in.
