Note: I have heard that Nichols (Dixie) and Muench (Highlands) both have 5 HRs but I'm just going gy what the Enquirer says and Highlands and Dixie may just not have reported any stats to the paper yet this year.

I agree I think Jones has the edge playing on a field with softball dimensions only helps the cause. How many homeruns does he have on the road away from Bellevue?

Playing at the Vets isn't that much different than Boone, Highlands and several other shorter fields. Scott isn't exactly Yankee stadium dimensions either. For the record though, three at home three on the road, and only one to the "short" side of the home field. Still got to hit them and still got to hit them hard.

If you are a right hander at Scott its alot harder to hit one with the big fence in left field and that extends for the entirety of it until you get to left center where its about 350 and 360 dead center.

 

If you are lefty you have a somewhat easier time with a 310 fence down the right field line

Either Farris or Maile will hit the most this year. They will also be well earned ones because these boys are not seeing that many pitches to hit.

Adams had 2 2-run bombs today at Boone in the BCHS win 6-4 over Scott.

Wyler from Garrard has 6 including bombs AT Corbin and Lincoln

Yeah but they were at Highland Park. What 325 to right center.:rolleyes:Oh yeah, he still hit them 375+ feet so it doesn't matter. And for what it's worth, the one Jones hit against HHS at Bellevue, landed on 2nd base on other field. If you know Bellevue, that would be about 375 also. So not many fields holding those balls in for the doubters!

IMO It doesn't matter who you put up there I know for a fact that Jordan Barker has 10 from George Rogers Clark and shows no signs of slowing the pace. If you know of anyone that has more than that send me their stats in a message please.

HR balls are nice but Jones from Bellevue mixes power, speed and avg. He's my vote for POY in Class A as a sophomore.
