Nichols has 5 hr's this year.

1 at Meinken

3 in Harrison County Tourney

Thanks AttaBoy. I do believe he had one at home. Did the Harrison County tourney feature short walls or was Matt just on his game?

Matt hit one out against Bellevue at Dixie. Hit it out in center.

Dayton's Jones has 3 home runs. 2 against bellevue and 1 against Silver Grove

Hunter Jones's home run yesterday went prolly around 400 feet. huge bomb

The fences were average but still if you have 3 homeruns in 2 games it doesnt matter how long the fences are, your on your game. Plus he put one of them out opposite field.

I know this and I did not realize it was just 2 games. But the fence length can make a difference as to whether it is a long fly ball or a HR. Either way congrats to Matt. Good to see him go oppo.

I will put my money on Maile or Isler just because IMO Cov Cath will make the deepest run come tourney time. But if it was based on just the regular season Id put my money on Farris

I think the Cov Cath boys have a slight advantage due to the fact that they have protection throughout there lineup. Teams can often avoid giving Farris good pitches to hit with Reed out of the lineup.

My money is on Jones from Bellevue...

I agree...

I think this kid is a very good hitter but with the field he plays on, alot of normal fly balls at other parks will go out of bellevues...

Not putting the young man down in the slightest because he is a darn fine ballplayer, but he also plays against much weaker competition overall than some of these other candidates.

GRC isn't northern but I wanted to throw this stat out there and see how it compared to Northern KY and over the state. GRC catcher Jordan Barker has about 10 home runs already in the season. Is that the most or does somebody else have more as of now?
