Will post more when I know. From what I know there might be more than one death but that is not confirmmed yet.

I just heard this from LBBC. Terrible news. My heart goes out to the school, the students and the parents.

Very sad news, Prayers go out for the family and friends of the ones in this crash.

They are saying that the fatality was a male HS student. A member of the ROTC. This is just so very sad. Our prayers are with the Pendleton community.

There is supposed to be a news conference sometime in the near future to get everyone up to date on what the actual news is. All kinds of rumors flying around. Channel 5 said that there possibly more than one death then they backed off that. Some are saying injuries are severe and some are saying just minor. They said a high school student. Male student. My prayers goes out to the victims family.

There was one death. It's believed to have been a high school (possibly sophomore) boy. Ten other children were on the bus. Their injuries, as well as those of two adults involved, are believed to have been minor. At least eight of the kids were treated and released.

 

The road this occurred on is a winding, treacherous country road that is frequented by large gravel trucks from a nearby quarry. They said they have at least one gravel truck crash in that area every year.

The road is a bad one. Very curvy and the trucks fly through there. Very dangerous place. The boy from what I have heard is a sophomore.

Please say your prayers for the family for their loss.

For the bus driver and all of the students that were on the bus as well as their families.

For the driver of the dump truck and his family.

For all of the rescue workers who had to work the scene and will have it etched in their memories.

 

And everyday, when your loved one leaves, give them one extra hug, like it might be the last one you give them.
