Is that a sensitive subject or something? And on the "bad defense" issue, if the plays are made then what would the score have been? Then who knows right! I'm not taking anything away from Bellevue, They won! Highlands needs to take care of their own business and they didn't.

If Towles is on he is tough for anyone to beat. But I'm sure the Bellevue boys will give it try. Highlands only scored 3 runs against Bellevue. I don't believe they were holding their bats back.:confused:

Said the same thing tonight at the Ryle game. Lucky for Highlands or not. They still might draw NCC just like basketball. Whoever they draw, they will have to throw Towles. Got to win the first one. Last nights game wasn't because of Towles, it was about some bad defense. Even still, I agree with you.

Everyone benefits from them at some point, and everyone suffers from them, but they are part of the game. High school baseball, to me at least, is so much about putting the ball in play offensively. Errors are going to happen, so if you put it in play enough to get those errors then you are doing your job.

I think it goes without saying that Highlands will need to throw Towles in the District opener. Muench is a solid starter but will be saved for the 2nd game if they advance most likely. The bats are my question up at Highlands. Outside of Muench, who else is hitting the ball well this season? They dont seem to manufacture a lot of runs.

 

On Bellevue's side, what is this Hunter Jones' size? Is he a big kid as a sophomore?

It sounds to me like there are a few on here that need and excuse for losing to Bellevue! So Highlands made 3 errors why didn't they hit and score more runs???? Face the best team won! Bellevue is a solid team and can play with the big schools this year and Highlands is an average team with Towels on the mound. It's OK folks that's why baseball is a great game!!!!!!!! Anybody can beat anybody on any given day! The Tigers are for real and Coach Sanders can call the shots with the best of them!:dancingpa

Give Bellevue its credit here and I am a big Tiger fan and Alum. But you gotta wonder what the Birds could be if they had 5-6 stud Footballers come out for the team this year who are busy lifting weights. I know its probably another thread but I am curious who could be starting on the diamond and they arent even playing. Not to take anythign away from the kids who earned their spots and are performing this year either.

I agree! Stop beating a dead horse! I can say this because my son didn't return to the diamond this year.
