Rev. Wright

What people need to realize is that there are some of the hierarchy in both parties that love to keep the division between the races going. The same goes for the economic class distinctions.

They know that as long as whites, blacks, asians, latinos are divided they can do whatever they want and hold on to their power. The same goes for the rift between Christians, Muslims, Jews.

They know that if people of all different ethnic and religious backgrounds ever come together that they are in real trouble. Until that happens I'm afraid that we'll just keep doing the same thing over and over again every 4 years.

There will never be any real change until we all come together.

There are some in this world who want black men to act white, talk like a white guy, shut up, wear their flag pin, and never ever speak up about the injustices they see in their own community and the country at large. When such men speak up they are labeled as racists, anti-american, ungrateful, and worse. Rev. Wright has yet to say or do something that is blatantly racist. He may believe that HIV was sent into black communities and he'll cite the research that gives him that opinion. I don't particularly believe that but considering the long history of Tuskeegee experiments and blacks being given drugs by authorities I can see why he would subscribe to those beliefs.

People are trying to pin a man who served the country honorably as a Marine and who was on hand to monitor Pres. Johnson after surgery as a Marine as someone who hates this country. He made a point about America policy being a cause of the problems we face around the world and he's crucified for it but McCain can actively seek the endorsement of a man who still claims Katrina was God D-ing America and called a man who believes abortion is a conspiracy to wipe out blacks his spiritual advisor, but we have to look the other way on that.

Here is a man whose church has received bomb threats whose parishoners have received death threats. He is going out and trying to make his point and repair his image that has been butchered by two 20 second clips out of 40 years of honorable ministry to his community. Clips that are played by Neo-Nazi buddies like Hannity and obvious racists like Limbaugh. Some of you have decided to hate Obama from the start. Many folks (not saying anyone on here) are afraid of a black man stepping out of the status quo and making a run at the highest office in the country. All this Rev. Wright stuff does is play to that fear of the different, and the ignorance of some of the white community.

I'm not going to convince some of you since your mind are made up. That's fine.

I've said my piece and I am done with talking about Wright.

GREAT POST

It is time for people in this country to understand NOT ALL MEN are Treated EQUAL.

I am not mad at Rev. Wright he has a right to speak his mind even if it is against America. The same Country that diplays a diservice to people daily.

I am not painting anyone on here as racist. Some of you will oppose anyone who is a Democrat. Oh and BTW: we're not socialists.

Nope, all Repubilicans are facisits! :fire::devil::fight:

j/k some are not that bad... hail Bush

Wright is going to ride Obama's coattails to become the next Sharpton of Jesse Jackson. He has know concern about damaging Obama's chances of becoming President.

I thought about this same thing the other day. :thumb:

I don't consider Rev. Wright a racist, and I have no problem with him speaking out as he does, although I do think he's a little crazy.

The question I have though is, if a white man got up and claimed that blacks brought AIDS into the white community, how quick would he have Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton at his doorstep? How quick would everyone be to call him racist?

Looking for Mr. Wright: The minister reveals that he's as radical and bigoted as his critics insist.

God bless the Rev. Jeremiah Wright!

After Barack Obama gave his big race speech in mid-March, many critics noted that the Illinois senator had thrown his own grandmother under the bus to defend his controversial pastor. Well, Wright proved over the last few days that he would not be outdone. He not only threw Obama under the bus, he chucked much of the liberal and mainstream media under there with him. If this keeps up, to paraphrase Roy Scheider in "Jaws," he's gonna need a bigger bus.

And there aren't people on here who would oppose anyone just because they are a Republican.

I idin't say you were a socialist I said Obama was. You don't like negative labels about those that espouse the same political beliefs as you do then maybe, just maybe you should refrain from using them on those you don't agree with.

Limbaugh has made public statements about Donovan McNabb being hyped b/c he was black. Forget that he led his team to a Super Bowl. He also plays "Barak the Magic Negro" on his show, says people only want to help those in Darfur b/c they're black.

Hannity is good pals with a Neo-Nazi. http://www.newshounds.us/2008/04/08/hannitys_direct_tie_to_neonazi_once_again_ignored_as_he_and_fox_news_panel_hypocritically_smear_obama_over_tenuous_connection_to_former_radical.php

Puff the magic negro was a phrase coind by a columnist for the LA Times, hardly a bastion of conservative beliefs.

The socialist Obama held his first political fundraiser at the home of a member of the Weather Underground. Does that men he's a terrorist?

Hannity is not good pals with a neo-Nazi and if you watched the show you would recognize such liberal smears for what they are - outrageous lies.

Hannity and Colmes have both been very consistent in speaking out against the firings or radio and TV personalities such as Duane "Dog" Chapman, Don Imus, Randi Rhodes, and other who have been caught using unacceptable language both on and off the air, provided they have given sincere apologies for their actions.

If Hannity begins employing the Aryan Brotherhood or known KKK members to provide for his personal security then I will join you in condemning him for having neo-Nazi leanings. In the meantime, won't you join me in condemning Rev. Wright for surrounding himself with Nation of Islam thugs?

Hannity regularly had a man named Hal Turner call into his radio shows. Hal is a neo-nazi and has gone on record as saying he and Hannity are chums and Hannity agrees with his views.

"I can tell you from my firsthand, personal experience that Sean Hannity does, in fact, agree with many of my political and social views. I can also tell you that Sean Hannity disagrees with some of my political and social views. I won't go subject-by-subject to say which he agrees with and which he disagrees with. You can figure that out easy enough on your own!" - Hal Turner. LINK

Turner's play by play of his relationship with America's biggest blowhard college dropout has recently been removed from his website.

So if Hannity is a neo nazi because one of his millions of listeners who regularly calls his show is a neo nazi and says they're friends, does that confirm that Obama is both a racist and a terrorist sympathiser because of his closer relationships with both?

Senator Obama just denounced Rev. Wright's comments from yesterday on CNN. Senator Obama is speaking on CNN right now.

I'm pointing out the flip-flopping of d-bags like Hannity. Turner claimes Hannity and he have met over dinner, and are real chummy.

Obama served on a board with Ayers, who was pardoned BTW.

If people like Hannity are going to try and paint others as racist by their associations alone then I have a kettle he can call black. It's this whole guilt by association thing that I'm sick of. McCain is taking money from lobbyists for corporation who do bad things. Clinton has had some shady dealings, and Obama has had some dealings with shady characters. It's politics. If we want to play guilt by association we can do that until the cows come home. And now I'm seriously finished talking about this crap when there are real issues out there to be discussed. To me this thread is now closed.
