I think the Clinton$ got to him.

Actually I think he is trying to galvanize the African-American vote behind Obama, and he thinks this the way to do it.

Actually I think he is trying to galvanize the African-American vote behind Obama, and he thinks this the way to do it.

One theory is that he is hoping Obama will lose so he can cause a firestorm about how America will not elect a black man because America is so racist.

Just enjoying his 15 minutes...

Did you watch the entire pres conference and the entire NAACP speech? He made some very good points. Of course the corporate mainstream media and Pravda (fox) will play selected clips over and over and over.

Other than one clip I heard on Rush's show a long time ago (and I have refrained from all of this mess about Rev. Wright), I am quite uninformed on this guy.

But isn't this article Time magazine?

You are going to confuse people with facts like that one.

Here is another fact. The racist Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam is providing security for the racist Jeremiah Wright.

I have been hearing his "sermons" on the Howard Stern Show. He has some issues.

Just enjoying his 15 minutes...

:thumb: As Barney Fyffe would say, "He's a Nut"!

There are some in this world who want black men to act white, talk like a white guy, shut up, wear their flag pin, and never ever speak up about the injustices they see in their own community and the country at large. When such men speak up they are labeled as racists, anti-american, ungrateful, and worse. Rev. Wright has yet to say or do something that is blatantly racist. He may believe that HIV was sent into black communities and he'll cite the research that gives him that opinion. I don't particularly believe that but considering the long history of Tuskeegee experiments and blacks being given drugs by authorities I can see why he would subscribe to those beliefs.

People are trying to pin a man who served the country honorably as a Marine and who was on hand to monitor Pres. Johnson after surgery as a Marine as someone who hates this country. He made a point about America policy being a cause of the problems we face around the world and he's crucified for it but McCain can actively seek the endorsement of a man who still claims Katrina was God D-ing America and called a man who believes abortion is a conspiracy to wipe out blacks his spiritual advisor, but we have to look the other way on that.

Here is a man whose church has received bomb threats whose parishoners have received death threats. He is going out and trying to make his point and repair his image that has been butchered by two 20 second clips out of 40 years of honorable ministry to his community. Clips that are played by Neo-Nazi buddies like Hannity and obvious racists like Limbaugh. Some of you have decided to hate Obama from the start. Many folks (not saying anyone on here) are afraid of a black man stepping out of the status quo and making a run at the highest office in the country. All this Rev. Wright stuff does is play to that fear of the different, and the ignorance of some of the white community.

I'm not going to convince some of you since your mind are made up. That's fine.

I've said my piece and I am done with talking about Wright.

You have to wonder why he would jump back into the fray, especially since he's not out putting out flames but reaffirming all the controversy. You have to think a big time Obama condemnation is coming down the pike. It appears the Republicans are determined to make the Wright quotes play this election, and since Obama never made any attempt to distance himself from the remarks when they originally occurred, he may be using this as an opportunity to vilify them as they are said again.

Maybe Rev. Wright is simply being himself. Maybe we are just seeing Black Liberation Theology at work.

Before painting me with your broad racist brush let me say that I don't care if he is black, white, green or purple, I would adamantly oppose anyone who is as liberal and potentially socialistic as Obama is. His lack of good judgement in selecting a pastor just makes my choice easier. The more we hear about him and his aquaintences the less presidential he looks.

I am not painting anyone on here as racist. Some of you will oppose anyone who is a Democrat. Oh and BTW: we're not socialists.

M.E., we aren't going to agree, but I don't get how you consider Hannity and Limbaugh racists, as well as (what it seems you believe) a large number of white men, but Rev. Wright is not.

Personally, I don't know and I don't really feel like finding out if they are racist. But, from as objective of a standpoint as I can be at, it seems that minorities are often given a lot more leniency in terms of determining whether or not they are racist.
