I'm pointing out the flip-flopping of d-bags like Hannity. Turner claimes Hannity and he have met over dinner, and are real chummy.

Obama served on a board with Ayers, who was pardoned BTW.

If people like Hannity are going to try and paint others as racist by their associations alone then I have a kettle he can call black. It's this whole guilt by association thing that I'm sick of. McCain is taking money from lobbyists for corporation who do bad things. Clinton has had some shady dealings, and Obama has had some dealings with shady characters. It's politics. If we want to play guilt by association we can do that until the cows come home. And now I'm seriously finished talking about this crap when there are real issues out there to be discussed. To me this thread is now closed.

Actually one of Obama's first political fundraisers was hel at Ayers home. Just because he was pardoned doesn't mean he isn't still a terrorist scumbag.

Obama spent 20 years in a church led by a racist loon. In my mind that means one of two things, either Obama isn't smart enough to realize that his pastor is a racist dirt bag OR Obama shares those views. Either one disqualifies him from being president as far as I'm concerned.

So if a guest of a talk show boasts that he is friends with the host, that's good enough for you!

Ayers was not pardoned. Ayers has confessed to bombings and he has stated that he wishes that he could have done more. I am not sure why you think that smearing Hannity has anything to do with Rev. Wright, but Hannity has not claimed any neo-Nazis as his friends. Obama has described Wright as a friend and spiritual mentor.

There are some in this world who want black men to act white, talk like a white guy, shut up, wear their flag pin, and never ever speak up about the injustices they see in their own community and the country at large. When such men speak up they are labeled as racists, anti-american, ungrateful, and worse. Rev. Wright has yet to say or do something that is blatantly racist. He may believe that HIV was sent into black communities and he'll cite the research that gives him that opinion. I don't particularly believe that but considering the long history of Tuskeegee experiments and blacks being given drugs by authorities I can see why he would subscribe to those beliefs.

People are trying to pin a man who served the country honorably as a Marine and who was on hand to monitor Pres. Johnson after surgery as a Marine as someone who hates this country. He made a point about America policy being a cause of the problems we face around the world and he's crucified for it but McCain can actively seek the endorsement of a man who still claims Katrina was God D-ing America and called a man who believes abortion is a conspiracy to wipe out blacks his spiritual advisor, but we have to look the other way on that.

Here is a man whose church has received bomb threats whose parishoners have received death threats. He is going out and trying to make his point and repair his image that has been butchered by two 20 second clips out of 40 years of honorable ministry to his community. Clips that are played by Neo-Nazi buddies like Hannity and obvious racists like Limbaugh. Some of you have decided to hate Obama from the start. Many folks (not saying anyone on here) are afraid of a black man stepping out of the status quo and making a run at the highest office in the country. All this Rev. Wright stuff does is play to that fear of the different, and the ignorance of some of the white community.

I'm not going to convince some of you since your mind are made up. That's fine.

I've said my piece and I am done with talking about Wright.

Eagle you certainly have every right to post what you did, those are your opinions. I think that where you seem to have problem is when others post their opinions and they do not agree with your views. Doesn't it go both ways? Seems to me that you are doing the exact same thing that you are accusing others of.

I am like others that have posted in that I don't care what the color is and I certainly don't like for someone to assume that's what I am doing. I come from a family that is a long line of Democrats and I can assure you that none of my family believes in the radical liberal views of some, now most of the Dems in office and/or running for office. These people have absolutely went away from the original beliefs and foundation that the Democratic party stood for. Their agenda is so far out their on it's own that I do not consider them true Democrats. I am certainly not talking about all or "throwing all into one category", there are plenty of those "true" Democrats still out there and imo those are the ones that need to take a stand for the real Democratic party.

I beleive that if the Democrats want to find why they have had so many problems in the last years that they should quit blaming others and look at themselves. There are many more Democrats than Republicans I believe. That tells me that one heck of a lot of Democrats had to have voted for the Republicans in office or they wouldn't have gotten elected! That tells me that there are those same Democrats that voted for Republicans did so bc they were fed up with what the Democratic party as become.

I also feel that with the way that Hillary and Obama are going at each other it is doing nothing but turning people off on either one of them. I personally have not heard one thing from ANY cantidate out there ( either side) that as made up my mind to vote for them. I hope that I do before November.

Now, you can come back and blast me if you want, that is your choice. Others certainly have done so in the past and that is fine as well, I don't care.

I have posted my opinion as well and I am done with it. :thumb:

What a difference a month of dropping poll numbers makes.

"I can no more disown him (Jeremiah Wright) than I can disown my white grandmother."

-- Barack Obama, Philadelphia, March 18

WASHINGTON -- Guess it's time to disown Granny, if Obama's famous Philadelphia "race" speech is to be believed. Of course, the speech was not just believed. It was hailed, celebrated, canonized as the greatest pronouncement on race in America since Lincoln at Cooper Union. A New York Times columnist said it "should be required reading in classrooms across the country." College seniors and first-graders, suggested the excitable Chris Matthews.

Apparently there's been a curriculum change. On Tuesday, the good senator begged to extend and revise his previous remarks on race. Moral equivalence between Grandma and Wright is now, as the Nixon administration used to say, inoperative. Poor Geraldine Ferraro, thrice lashed by Obama in Philadelphia as the white equivalent of Wright's raving racism, is now off the hook.

These equivalences having been revealed as the cheap rhetorical tricks they always were, Obama has now decided that the man he simply could not banish because he had become part of Obama himself is, mirabile dictu, surgically excised. - Obama's Changing Moral Equivalence
