McCain has Obama's back

Honestly, this scores McCain some points in my book. As a undecided voter, that matters.

McCain's reaction is admirable and understandable. After all, he knows all about being on the wrong end of dirty politics ... ask him about the 2000 South Carolina primary.

I will point out that the Republican party plans to ignore Senator McCain's request and run the ad.

Just as it did the sorry, sleazy treatment McCain got in 2000 ...

Not the first time, and sure as hell won't be the last time ,that the GOP and McCain will be at odds over the next few years.

I think that Obama-McCain would be the type of presidential election that people always say they want.
Not a chance, IMO.

Unfortunately, probably very accurate.

But let me pose the question: What kind of campaign do you think most people want to see out of these two guys?

I heard that as well and was dissapointed it their decision. That (to me anyway) does not take away from the fact that McCain coming out against it. Again, McCain is class.

Maybe, or maybe he is making his weak protest so he can get the best of both. If you remember, President Bush always said he was sure that John Kerry had served honorably, while his backers ran those miserable lies over and over again. Trying to have it both ways is a well known republican tactic. I do have to wonder, if he can't even control his own party, why should we think he will be able to lead the government?

I agree with you. He's not putting all of his eggs into the same basket.

Very common tactic. Let's not play the fool; we're smarter than that.

I want someone to tell me how any one of the three left would be a good President. Remember, all three are members of a do nothing Congress which has a terrible approval rating. Once again, another election with no one worth going to the polls.

The phrase "having your cake and eating it too" comes to mind. My guess is that if he REALLY REALLY wanted the ad pulled, it would be.

Of course.

People, lets quit feigning political naivete. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING a politician does, esp. one running for President, is devoid of political purpose. Will you guys remember that as the campaign moves through the summer?

Dems don't use it as much? Right.

How do you know they were lies?

How do you know they were lies?

At least some of them weren't lies.

Where was John Kerry on Christmas in 1968?
