The singer that sang "Ay Bay Bay". Worst song ever. I don't know how old you are and I fully admit that I have never heard that song but in the 70's there was a song called "Brand New Key" :fight: That thing had to be the most "fingers across chalkboard" annoying song ever, nothing else close. The singer I believe was "Melanie", just as terrible as that song. Should we have any other "children of the 70's" maybe you can remember this. Alison Krauss!!!! I understand that most if not all think her voice is amazing but i just cant get the noise of someone holding their nose while they sing out of my head. Count me in on the group that love her voice, I think that she is great.

April 23, 200818 yr I'd have to say that Mayer doesn't have the greatest voice around but it definitely fits his style well and I don't think him or Corgan should be on the list. Corgan is more of an acquired taste and I can see where some people don't care for him but he can actually sing pretty well when he tries. And sorry mcpapa, I couldn't disagree with you more on Hoon.

I think that the tune and as much as the lines "Brand new pair of roller skates" and "brand new key" were repeated over, and over, and over.... and over.......that the song caught on and good or bad, people could not get it out of their head. There I go :scared:, I am "cringing" again 36 years later.:lol:

But as Italian Stallion stated, "might be the best modern guitarist," thats subjective nonetheless, but no. Zakk Wylde gets that title.

Anyone can dedicate their lives to playing fast and be good at it (look at dragonforce's guys) but to me true greatness comes from innovation, which is John Mayer.

April 23, 200818 yr Good Lord how has this list made it this far without someone mentioning Bob Dylan or Tom Petty. Now I can listen to some Tom Petty, but his voice still stinks. Dylan on the other hand, that is vomit inducing!
