May 27, 200818 yr I think the CGI effects have gotten so bad it's like watching a cartoon. That whole jungle scene was silly. The kid with the monkeys swinging to the rescue was really, really bad. I really want to know how if Indy blew up the machine that cleared a path through the jungle, how did they then procede through the jungle on multiple roads fighting for the crystal skull?
May 27, 200818 yr There were an awful lot of things wrong with the movie, but to be honest it was pretty fun to watch. I hated that they spoiled Shia LeBouf's character's "origin" long before the movie came out.
May 27, 200818 yr Author I enjoyed it and my wife did not, she was talking about how different it was with the aliens. However, I tend to disagree the other three movies deal with something that has to do with some cultures God and the aliens were God to the Indians of South America in the movie so I don't think it was that different, but thats just me.

The others were mystical and involving the occult, this was straight up science fiction. Big difference between God, and the god of Thugee cultists, and aliens that people think are gods. In the other films it is pretty obvious that the deities exist, in this one it is just aliens. It really removes a whole lot of the mysterious nature of it.

Whether the deity exists in 2 or not there is still evidence there that suggests it is likely. Now in this if they hadn't made it blatantly obvious that it was aliens I wouldn't likely be so harsh.
May 29, 200818 yr I enjoyed the movie until the spaceship at the end of the movie. Then it kind of ruined it for me!
