College Students....What's Going To Be Your Summer Job?

Featured Replies

Just wanted to throw it out there that today I goit a call from the Florence Freedom that I have been formally hired as a pressbox worker and I could decide if I wanted to do the sound or scoreboard. I think I'm going to choose the sound so if anyone goes to a Florence Freedom game, it'll be me that's playing all the music and sound effects.

I'll also be doing some work on campus with the athletic department helping get stuff ready for the fall sports.

Does anyone else have anything planned?

Also for those of you who are not college students, I'd like to involve you in this thread as well. What was your favorite summer job?

Working stuffing envelopes for the prospecting dept.

My summer job was the same as my fall, winter, and spring job. Dairy Queen, from worker to manager, since 2001 when I was a sophomore in high school. My last day is Sunday.

Last summer I also worked at Ford as a temp until they laid me off. That was probably my favorite job, as it was twice the pay of DQ for half the work. And I could wear my ipod because I was in the pit, where our supervisor came around MAYBE once a day and he didn't really care.

best summer job I ever had was at a whitewater rafting company.

Working at the golf course again. I love it! Work in the morning and have time to go to the pool or play golf in the afternoon!

Working at Liquor Mart for 3.5 years was my summer job and my around the year job as well.

My last 2 1/2 years of college I worked wal-mart year round, but after my soph year of college, I worked at Ellis park in Henderson, I sold boxes, made reservations for the restaurant and sold programs and betting sheets. Such a sweet job, made like 9 plus tip and that was in 2001, and I got to watch horses all day!

I'm going to be pulling hard for a Co-op with the KY transportation department, but I'm relying heavily on my uncle to use his hook ups and I don't know if its going to happen.

All else fails I'll work hard manual labor for mass pay.

In the past I have worked as a laborer for a construction company, but this summer I will take my part time job as a bank teller and extend it to full time.

Possibly be working at the Pikeville Hospital in the fitness center.

I will be pouring concrete with my dad and brothers.
