RichRod continues to make friends in the Big 10

I love how everyone thinks RR is a jerk once he leaves and goes to Michigan. When he was at WVU he was considered a humble country boy from West by god Virginia. Tre$$le on the other hand has multiple occasions where NCAA violations have possibly occured. ( I can name them if everyone would like) But lets get back to this. The name Patrick Omameh may not ring a bell to most. He is a 3 star recruit OL in the 08 class for Michigan. He is considered a project p[layer with a big upside if he adds weight to his frame. Michigan offered and he COMMITED on the DAY BEFORE signing day this year. On signing DAY guess who offered Patrick Omameh a scholarship? Jim Tre$$le and the O$U Buckeyes. This is a fact!

Omameh might not be the best example... :irked:

Please name the multiple occaisions where NCAA violations have "possibly" occured. May have possibly occurred, that's a hoot.

I don't necessarily agree with Tressel's comments, because a commitment means nothing. Other schools can continue to pursue those players. However, if the kid is dead set on his decision then I would think a coach is wasting time. But, if a coach thinks a kid is unsure about a committ then by all means, go after him.

Jim Tressel is making ethics arguments? Really?? TRESSEL??? C'mon, now. Ohio St., the kingpin of recruiting violations, making this veiled threat is quite a bit the pot calling the kettle black.

I would love to hear about these violations! Please be specific.

You are wrong with you first sentence right out of the gate, you quoted my post so read it before you do . I plainly stated in my post (or at least I thought that anyone could uderstand it) that it had nothing to do with trying to stir anything up. The ONLY ones that thought that RR was a "humble country boy" or good guy was the WVU fans. I had always said that he was a good coach but also have always thought that he was a class A pomopass jerk and complete horse's patoot.

Your post here on the other hand you made sure that you put your little $$$ signs in. That is fine with me and is getting very, very old on here but to each his own............. I will use your own words and comment to answer that......"This is fact!"

I have fun with some of the jabs with the OSU - Mich. rivalry on here but some things are just getting old. As far as you last question the only thing that I can say is .......... Michigan is accusing Tresel of whining? I love it!:lol:

:thumb::thumb: Both very good post.

The Ohio State Football program has not had a punishable violation on the football team since I have been following OSU. Early 1970's

Just to finish my thought.

Thanks Oldrambler.

J-T might cry a little now but when the Buckeyes again smack that school from up North in the mouth again the nation will see who is crying then.

I will be one of the first to tell RR and other UM fans to stop crying when OSU whips them as long as neither team gets caught cheating.

Bottom Line when you are getting your butt kicked in any phase of coaching (recruiting, game day, game planning, etc....), you just have to COACH HARDER.

Rich Rod is an arrogant jerk, he was at WVU and he continues at the school up North. My comment has nothing to do with trying to stir up anything but it seems RR has had problems with people everywhere he has been. Seems no one likes this guy(even some on his own side).

The way I see it is that he is a heck of a coach but a pretty lousy person. I could understand maybe one or two along the way having problems with him, that all goes along with it. When I hear things like this about him absolutely everywhere that he has been then imo it is pretty clear to me anyway that the problem is Rich Rod.

Lloyd Carr imo was a good coach but Tressel just had his number, same as Carr had "Coops" number at OSU in years before. Those guys are all good people but I have to question RR in that department, Oh well, that is Michigans problem (lol). Hopefully things will continue as what is now normal and Tressel will continue to own Michigan.... :ylsuper::D

GO BUCKEYES!!!!

Both of these post deserve....... :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Wow...I sense a few Buckeye homers in here...Can we say defensive?

Wow...I sense a few Buckeye homers in here...Can we say defensive?[/QUOTE]

You could if you wanted I guess, that is your choice. Come to think of it, I do believe that the Buckeyes were at the top of the defensive ratings in D1 football in the last few years, so "defensive" may be a good term. I personally would call it.....Truthful. :thumb::D

No one imo would be saying anything if Tressel had not claimed and proven ownership of the state of Michigan since he arrived. ;)

I look for Rich to do well at Michigan and I see the already hot rival game with OSU getting even hotter!:fire:

:thumb: I agree if that is possible, imo the OSU - Michigan rivalry along with Bama-Auburn, Okla. - Texas and Ga. - Fla. are the biggest and best football rivalry's anywhere.

While I was at Marshall (1991-1993) I knew one of these coaches and my team played against the other. Rich Rod at Glennville State (WV) and Youngstown State (OH). OH my how times have changed.

IMO I hope that Michigan sweeps the Big 10 only to be beat by his old team WVU in the National Championship. Don't laugh it could happen............

Tressel only has friends in the SEC, since they have a tendancy to own the O$U
