Track the Reds (Week 2)

I don't think Dusty understands how we as Reds fans have been irritated by managers killing the youngsters arms in this organization.

He's not even at 100 pitches relax.

NOW you take Cueto out? Dusty showing why he is the best manager in the business. :irked:

Very good outing 47.. No need to beat yourself up over this one. Good job.

What are you talking about?

The next two hitters, minus Suppan, are 4-4 against Cueto.

He's not even at 100 pitches relax.

He doesn't need to be out there...period. He got lucky to get a run in that last inning. It's just irritating.

I understand it's about matchups, but if you are going to let Cueto start the inning, why not let him try and finish it. He just bounced back from the homer to get a strike out.

Oh well, likely not going to matter regardless.

Why didn't he need to be out there? He's one of your best pitchers.

Why? It's not like he is throwing a ton of stressful innings out there.

Because he has thrown a good game, was getting up in pitches, and more than any of that, they needed a good bat for him in the last inning. And this pen isn't like it has been in the past. This year it is OK to go to the bullpen.

He shouldn't get to 100 in his second start. Other people were saying it before he was left in. In that situation his count could have been 75 and he should have been pulled. Not just b/c they gave up a run, but they needed to score at least 1 and more would have been great. They were conceding an out during a potential rally.

No way you pull one of your best pitchers with 75 pitches no matter who it is.

He was at 85 pitches, and the bullpen will more than likely get a good work out tomorrow. There was no need to take him out.
