He will be missed and to me his most amazing work came in the NRA standing up to the liberal pop culture that developed in Hollywood he was one of the ones who fought for the 2nd amendment, he will be missed.

Planet of the Apes is still my all-time favorite movie.

Ben Hurr is one movie I watch everytime its on. I didn't realize he was that old, what does that make me? Prayers for all who loved him and I'll look at his movies with great fondness.

One of my favorite Heston stories was one I heard from Eddie Murphy. He was invited to Heston's place for something. While there he noticed the staff from 10 Commandments in an open case on the wall. Grabbing it he ran out to the pool and hit the water and waved the staff and nothing happened. He turned to Heston and said, "This things broke, it doesn't work!"

 

Heston smiled and said, "It only works for me." :lol:

A great loss of an American legend. Heston was a fine actor and a great man. He is in no pain and suffers no more from that terrible disease. As another has said, he is probably talking with Moses right now about his performance.

 

I especially admired his work away from acting in the NRA. Heston served as president of the NRA for several years and did a very fine job for this organization, he was for what is right with America.............the 2nd amendment just being one. Heston did not go for all of this liberal anti gun trash. Heston's "from my cold, dead hands" speech at a National NRA Convention was one of his best ever on any platform or about any subject.

Goodbye to a great man and a great actor.
