What do you wear to work everyday?

Featured Replies

Are you required to wear a specific outfit, "business casual", free to wear whatever, etc.???

We are required to go "business casual", but I wear a shirt and tie Monday - Thursday and go more business casual on Friday.

Business casual. :irked:

Please define, as I think this would be my description.

Casual all the time... Not for long, though... Business casual comes with the promotion... :D

I wear khakis and a nice collared shirt about 90% of the time. I occasionally mix in a sweater or other dressy shirt. We do have casual Friday every Friday, which is pretty nice.

A polo or a button up shirt and khaki's.

Dress pants/khakis and a collared shirt or sweater.

I sit in a cubicle all day not seeing anyone but coworkers. They let us wear jeans almost every Friday if we pay $2 that goes towards something. Obviously, it's not a big deal if we wear jeans, so why not just let us wear them everyday unless we're meeting with a client, which for me, is almost never.

When I was going to one of my client's homes, I could wear anything...I would always keep a change of clothes in the car because of the stink and such in thier homes...(yes, being a counselor can be one of those jobs they can put on television...I think the name of the show is Dirty Jobs, or something like that)....At work it was Dress. If it was group counseling day...or night...it was semi-dress.

When I went to the clients homes, I made sure that I wore something very old and it, sometimes, even had holes in it...that way, if I needed to throw it away I could...I would purchase things from yard sales, goodwill, etc...just so I would not have to keep them if I thought that they could not be salvaged...yes, that bad. People who live like that amaze me. I have even seen dog poo in the fridge!!!

I always wondered if people who worked in Hawaii had "Mainland shirt day" at their office?

:scared::scared:

Our company dress code is business casual with jeans acceptable on Friday. However, most of our branchs do what they want. Our corp office in Louisville is about the only one where they have to stick to it. So most days I wear jeans and a collared shirt of some kind.
