Since the usual suspects have been covered, we can also need to remember that Brossart is returning a bunch of kids that got experience this year.

It won't take long for Mason Co. to prove they are a solid #2 team.

Mason Co. will be up there competing. Returning Middleton and Downing of the starting five. Also, have a good freshman class with the likes of Gilbert, Pawsat, Setty. Phil Barner who will be a junior next year is really athletic and will get more minutes and could be a good player. Mason will return Ryan Hamm who is very valuble to the team this year. There are a coulple young big boys that don't play too bad, Bluford, and B. Lang. Also, Mandela Rice can fill it up from beyond the arc.. Mason will be extremely young next year with I think 2 seniors..

 

Good post. Another player I like is Westin Stahl, he seems to score in bunches when he comes in late this season. He could be a good scoring threat off the bench next season, IMO. Though if everyone's back from this year, they'll have 5 seniors (Middleton, Downing, Hamm, Rice, Stahl).

I will go with GRC. A young team, improving every game. The future is bright.

Wouldn't say by far but Nearl sp? was defintly impressive. They lose there back court I believe. Parks was a good floor general for them, If they can find someone to replace him they will be a title contention again.

 

Campbell returns starters Nerl, Albrecht and Ben Franzen, along with Jolly who was one of the first off the bench, among others. They will need to replace Parks and probably lose some depth, but should be a favorite again in the 37th.

I think GRC would be the favorite. Had a great season this year and returning 4 starters. Hatton. Rogers, Stenzel, and Williams. Freshman class is loaded. 2 started and the 3rd was first man off the bench for the varsity this year. They gained valuable true varsity experience. 3 of the Freshman are all around 6'6.

 

Scott I believe also returns alot of starters and could be a factor. Mason always has a good team, but will not be as dominating as this past year.

 

These are my top 3 teams....but by tourney time...I am sure that others may be included.

 

 

Unless Clark County can find someone else to score other than Stenzel and Hatton, no way they can be the favorites. I would put them at 2. I think they have 2 nice players who understand the game. Rogers and Williams seem to lack scoring ability and as shown up against a good defensive team, 2 doesn't beat 5. I think Clark returns 2 very good basketball players, others hopefully will grow into very good basketball players, but putting them preseason #1 is a bit stout.

I think Mason and Clark at 1 & 2 with Campbell Co, Scott, Brossart pretty much interchangeable at 3, 4, & 5. I think whose young players develop the most between now and next season might determine the order.

We were Regional Champs last year, but I was smart enough to know that by losing the likes of Preston, Tistian, Woody, and Robell that we should not be ranked #1 starting out this year, just because we were the Regional Champs. Mason loses their key players this year too. Mason will have to really adjust to not having Miller to go to. But if you want to wear the bulleye...go for it...I like flying under the radar.

 

Enlighten me on who Mason has returning ...Middleton...???

I believe Mason should be ranked No. 1 as well, with the likes of Middleton,Downing, and Hamm returning. The JV finished 16-1, the freshman finished 20-1. Mason will field a highly competitive team next year with a deep and talented bench. Winning is contagious, and they have the bug.

Starters- Russ Middleton and Keith "Mr. Defense" Downing

Bench- Ryan Hamm, Neal Pawsat, Treg Setty, Phil Barner, Jordan Gilbert, Mandela Rice, Westin Stahl, Justin Lang, Bradley Lang, Ryne King.

Let's not count Montgomery out of it next year either, maybe not the best, but let's not forget about them!
