Just wondering how long W.K.U. will be able to keep Horn. Recall a few years ago when E.K.U. got to the show and Ford was gone shortly after

I think he could be gone with out winning any, if the proposal suits him and if he wins one an even bigger proposal may come his way. Just my opinion, but he may be one of the most underated coaches around.
jlaw Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 If you have ever been to WKU facilities, I don't know why they can't win more there. If I was a recuit in KY why would you go to EKU or Morehead. As for Horn, work this for more money and keep bringing in the Lee's. They are close to Ill., Ind., Ark., Tenn., et al.. Continue to bring in the talent and turn that place into a Memphis. IT can be done.
Free Bird21 Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Actually, I had heard that the heat was on Horn this year to make it to the Tourney. He has had MUCH better teams in the past and just couldn't win the big game (or beat South Alabama). He is a great coach and I think he could be gone as well.

Well, Pelphrey was at USA for a while, so its not all bad...
bellalumni40 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 It may depend on his love for WKU. I know he played there and all, and there is a precedent for not leaving a "mid-major" in Few at Gonzaga. Kind of hard to gauge really.
westsider Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I've been told that Horn isn't particuarly well-liked in Bowling Green. He's certainly had some success there, but I don't know if there will be too many tears shed if he leaves for greener pastures.
